'15 TN ATH Jaylond Woods (UT Commit 4/20/13)

Is this true?

I haven't read anywhere about the coaches officially pulling Middleton's offer. Just rumors about him transferring and misbehaving like the rumors with Woods. Maybe it happened but I don't recall reading it.

"He and the coaches decided to part ways. Middleton is a great talent who needs to mature and get things together if he hopes to end up playing at Tennessee."

This was posted in the Middleton thread in October. So the words "pulled offer" were not used but...

Okay gotcha! Im surprised i don't remember that. Well hopefully he can get himself together and end up in Orange.
Well JayWoods better keep himself together or this will be his future. I don't wish bad for the guy but I don't think it'll stick either way.

I thought that was about he and the Powell coaches.

Edit: went back and found the post from his thread. When I read it last year, I took it to mean Hubbs was talking about Middleton and the Powell coaches. I can see now that he may have meant the UT coaches.

I heard he is just started school this week at clinton. They threw for over 3,000 yards last year and the qb they have is coming back as only a junior. Also got an oak ridge transfer recently too. Should be fun offensive team to watch if he makes the grades. Kids love those spread offenses.

Clinton is and always will be terrible.. Better than him going to Austin east tho I guess if he's trying to stay out of trouble.

I'll have my Dad ask about this one. My Dad works with Jaylond's foster Dad so to speak. I don't know the full story as to why Jaylond doesn't live with his biological parents, but at the same time, I never asked. I know my Dad has mentioned at times before that Jaylond was struggling in school and has many behavioral issues. I will ask my Dad to talk to Jaylond's dad and see what the latest on him is.

I heard from a friend today that he was going to CLINTON? What's up with that?

Weird.. LC and Clinton aren't even close by each other.. Didn't another WR a cpl years ago go from Clinton to LC? Like the opposite of this situation?

Cut ties and use the spot on another important position. He's not a need or a can't miss kid. He's a dime a dozen player in the South. I would like for us to take a wait and see approach with these little system slot players. They aren't hard to find at all in the Southern states.

Just curious why the staff would offer and accept his commitment so early if he is a dime a dozen player? If he is not a need, and nothing special, why did they take him?

It was a year ago when their '14 recruiting was heating up. Might've just been a mistake in the moment. You know...getting caught up in the excitement and keeping the momentum rolling.

Or saw upside but isn't progressing

I feel the same way.. This just isn't the year to take a kid like this IMO.

Is he a better prospect than D.Booth who they cut off last year? IMO No, this kid really shouldn't be waited on. Either you can get your act in gear or not. There are a lot of kids at his size/speed that play his position that would love this offer. We're WRU if you're offered at WR and commit you should be prepared for the prestige that comes with that honor.

Woods is enrolled and attending classes at Clinton, according to a member of the Dragon coaching staff I spoke with earlier this evening.

Wow. Some shady stuff going on with this LC/Clinton connection.. But not surprising knowing their head coach.
