'15 TN ATH Jaylond Woods (UT Commit 4/20/13)

Darel Middleton was kicked off his team apparently. I would cut ties with them both. I'm not a fan of taking East TN kids in general because of the subpar talent they face (Aaron Douglas is an exception), but especially when the kids have grade concerns, attitude problems, or transfer 2-3 times because they can't get their sh*t together.

I had been doubtful about this guy for a while, but I believe we should go ahead and takw him off the commit list now

Was it a grades thing, or because he transferred, or both? I don't understand how all these kids have so much problems in high school. Lol

Figured it was coming to this. Rumors of grade issues had been mentioned multiple times. Also when he posted the pic of him at UTs recruiting event and it said, "Me and my future HC" had me thinking he was hinting at Juco or something similar was very likely. Hopefully the kid can get his issues corrected and can have another shot at Tennessee before it's all said and done.

Teague was not an SEC caliber athlete. Unfortunately we had way too many marginal players occupy a scholarship over a 4-5 year period during Dooley's tenure. It is quite amazing how 3 years ago quality football players wouldn't sniff Knoxville. The people truly make the place. Thank goodness for Dave Hart having the foresite to hire Butch Jones. Love the direction our program is headed.

Teague didn't have sufficient straight line speed to be an sec D back. Potentially he could have made it as a slot receiver. His body type and skill set and remained me of Gerald Jones. But definitely was never going to make a high level cb regardless of position changes. I remember against Uf he got blown off the field against the te

As a man who played in one of the hardest divisions in east TN, I can't really disagree with the talent argument.

But we also said the same thing about some kid from a tiny AA school named Randall Cobb who wanted a shot at QB. I hear he's doing ok now.

People love pointing out the exception, but never the rule

For every Randall Cobb that is pointed out. I can point out Rae Sykes. Randall is the exception. But Rae is usually the rule.
