'15 TN CB Ugo Amadi

Before he committed, just about everyone on the board had him as a Vol. He did not pick the Vols so UT must have told him to wait. Not sure I'm buying it. Could he not just liked ole miss better? I think the staff would have taken him if they could have got him.

I'd buy that if he hadn't said we were his leader like 3 days prior.

Regardless, good luck to the kid. Except when he plays UT.

Jaason Lewis had UT as his clear leader for quite some time. He then took a trip to ucla and everything changed. That did not mean UTs coaches passed on him or asked him to wait to commit. Happens all the time.

There is a clear disparity between UCLA and Ole Piss, come on. Also, Lewis changed his tune after we got Scott.

Jaason Lewis was scared of the depth chart at UT that's why he's not on the vol commitment list and you know that.

Maybe the coaches told Amadi to wait, maybe they didn't. None of us know for sure.

This. Something changed his mind so all we can do is speculate. Guess it's possible OM absolutely blew him away...who knows though. Best of luck to him...except when facing us :)

If we end up taking up to 22 then that's not really a small class. But I know what you're saying.

I understand. But there are 11-12 instate players in the ESPN Top 300. Even if we take 22, that leaves 10 players out of state. We already have 5 out of state if you include Dews. We are in on too many kids.

Lewis visited UCLA between him saying we led and him committing. Did Amadi visit ole miss over the three days before committing?

I did not have him as a Vol. Just reading the tea leaves in all this and his offers ect. Learn a long time ago not to take any opinions as the truth on this board. But, you and Bruin have to find something to either argue or whine about.

Nobody in their right mind would pick Ole Miss over Tennessee or any quality option unless he's either on the take or the other schools just didn't want him. That's just a fact. I'm not one to typically say things like that but Ole Miss is one of the few programs where that certainly qualifies.

Kids select a school for various reasons. Does a degree from UT hold that much more weight than one from ole miss in the working world? I don't think so. Can ole miss get a kid to the NFL if that his ultimate goal? Of course it can. Being in the SEC puts a kid on center stage no matter if it's at Tennessee, bama, ole miss, or kentucky. Could money, girls, promises, or other things be involved? I guess they could. Of course that is the case at just about any school. Yes, including Tennessee.
