'15 TN CB Ugo Amadi

Ehh Payne is solely a nickel to me. If we got Amadi to do that, IMO, he'd be sitting a lot behind Payne and play in some dime situations. Height means nothing for nickels. If we were getting either as an outside CB height would matter. Not really concerned if we got him or not. Pretty talented, not a MUST get though like say a Phillips or Richmond. JMO

+1...Every last word of this

It's a beautiful place and the atmosphere on the team is what I'm looking for. They all have each other's backs," he continued. "We were also very impressed with those facilities. They're as good, or better, than anyone's.*

"But number one on my list is the way the coaches treated me while they were recruiting me. I know they're going to take care of me during my college career and groom me to be a leader as a player and an adult."*

"I wanted a place where I fit. I wanted a place where I could compete against the best," he closed. "I got that in Ole Miss with the fit and the SEC with the competition.*

"I've made up my mind. I'm finished. I'm a Rebel and I'm excited. So is my family."*

"Cash-filled briefcases, white girls with serious daddy issues, etc, etc. That's what really stood out," Amadi explained.

Looks like the kid wants to play in the SEC and early. Ole Miss provides both plus he's a priority for them not a wait and see type of kid.

People need to understand that the game of football is changing rapidly right before our eyes. Even Nicktator is getting pounded by staying with past strategies and not evolving with what works NOW. Pro style QBs are history. The Seahawks brought big, fast physical DBs and effectively shut Peyton down. Either you evaluate what is successful and go with it quickly or die in your stubbornness. Hello Darwin.

I quit reading at pro style qbs are history..

Pro-style passers will never die out. Don't worry buddy, the OC's of the world will adapt and find a new advantage.

Oh he did what was best. Wouldn't start next season for UT. Only a special player will push through for PT.

Very possible the opportunity to start day 1 at ole miss was more intriguing. It kind of coincides with reports of Mosely running with the ones which means true freshman and sophomore manning the corner spots. We still need depth badly and you never know how Mosely performs until game time

Broncos maybe should've gotten a good RB. But Kaepernick really lights that defense up when they play. :)

Dumb post. The Seahawks had a great defense, AND played a great game. If you think the 2013 Manning had is a testament to the death of prostyle qbs, you need your head checked. He put on an offensive clinic for 95% of the season.

I feel sorry for LV. Living proof of the axiom that if BruinVol didn't exist, VolNation would (re)invent him. :)

It is like in the Matrix. You have to have the "Anomaly" to create balance in the construct. Without a Bruin or LV the entire VN construct would fail and thousands of screen names would be lost.

It is not changing nearly as quickly in the NFL, and I am not sure it ever will. The defensive players are just too strong and fast to have a true "dual threat." Sure, there are guys who have modified it. Russell Wilson is a great runner, but he mainly passes the ball. He ran 3 times in the SB. I will believe it when I see it if some NFL team runs an Auburn-type attack. The QB will not make it half the year.

I still think Auburn was an anomaly. Marshall is electric, but he is not a very good passer, and they were fortunate.

They are still recruiting Shelley, but they like other guys on their board like Ordway, Abernathy, Slayton and others. They were recruiting Amadi, but they didn't have the full court press on him and I think that's part of the reason he committed to Ole Miss.

And there you have it.

I agree with all this...though I will say Seattle's d-line had a ton to do with shutting Peyton down. Good defensive line play leads to dominant defensive performances...some things never change.

Seattle has great DBs, but the Seahawks and 49ers get away with more defensive holds than any other teams in the NFL.

And LV slowly backs away and hides in a hole, after all of the arguing he did against this.

Not at all. If the kid felt he was being slow played, he obviously did what was best for him. That is IF Fort is correct in how the UT coaches were handling his recruitment.
