Let Jackson go then whiffing on Phillips. Ouch. I don't really care about Umadi. Dime a dozen. He's the same as Jeremy mcduffie to me. Jalen Julius is more explosive. Phillips hurts though

6 months ago nobody was even really pursuing this kid.Now he's a first class killer.Wonder how it feels to know the main reason ur wanted is to help land another kid.If ugo was that great UT would have accepted his commintment from the get go.Id take abernathy all day over this kid,hope we can land martin in the end also but who knows.Not trying to offend anyone im just keeping it real.

Amadi and his family could be so turned off by the slow play that he ends up at LSU. The fact that the family hasn't visited LSU though is a little puzzling to me. LSU also slow played Ugo but IDK if that's as big a factor to him since we are the instate school.

Missing out on Van was the biggest disappointment IMO. I'm not saying either Phillips or AMadi would or wouldn't be great at the next level, but I will say again(I know I'll get bashed again) that Phillips wasn't all that impressive when I went to see him play. Not to say what I saw can't be improved with good coaching.

I want them all to be in orange also.But you know what if their heart isn't in it to play for the Vols let them go.WE will be back soon enough and then who cares where they went.They obviously have no instate pride so I don't want them.We will be fine with or without them.

Easier said than done. Not saying you do it, but Butch gets criticized for taking guys early and then recruiting over them. It's an inexact science when you have limited numbers and recruit hundreds of players over a year period. Have to make quick decisions.

The 247 LSU site has Ugo and Kyle Phillips all over it and have for sometime. While Tenn 247 hardly mentions them at all. That's most often a good indicator of where recruits are headed from what I've seen!

Has nothing to do with Amadi as much as a lot of schools wanting Phillips and realizing what it takes to get him there. I'm personally tired of their act on social media, and I'll be glad when we can move on to kids that want to be here and don't get their jollies off on screwing with people on social media. And hopefully those on Twitter will not say a bunch of nonsense to any of these guys if they go elsewhere. We still have a great class coming in.

Butch is really blowing it in-state this year. 2 of the top 10 is not going to get it done. Amadi is #11 and not a huge deal but losing Phillips at #2 is discouraging to say the least. The top 10 prospects in the state are now committed.

Phillips has been quoted as saying his decision is independent of what Amadi decides to do. That could just be for the factor of him having his moment independent of what Amadi does announce though. It would be interesting to see what happens with LSU and Amadi if Phillips chooses UT though.

Sucks we missed on some guys but we currently have a top 5 class. We'll finish in the top 8 most likely

Meh, outside of Phillips and Richmond I could really give a damn about the "misses" we've had in state. We can upgrade with similar talent at those positions IMO easily. I guess Martin is a big miss IF you consider him an instate kid as well but that's a pretty big stretch.
