Asked in the postgame how it might look that Chavis is leaving for a division rival, Miles said "I don't know how it looks, nor do I give a damn."

This is what it appears. CoachingSearch reported that Chief's 3 year extension from LSU had a clause in it that said that they would only pay him for 6 months if Miles left. Chief was mad at that. They offered a 2 year deal without that clause. I think Chief is miffed at how he was treated in addition to A&M wanting to pay him more.

Jives with what I heard-- that TAMU offered a 4-year contract at a higher base, with sweeteners and a better buyout. LSU was betting he wouldn't walk. Wonder if Chief will want Ugo at TAMU?
