'15 TN CB Ugo Amadi

Think you guys are being way too hard on this kid.

Honestly I'm not crazy about him as a prospect, but I think all of this 'immaturity' stuff is just some comments getting twisted or blown out of proportion.

The 'brainwash' comment I took to just be a harmless dig at Kahlil and Kirkland because he knows they'll be on Phillips hard - not even disrespectful really, just jawing a little. And yeah, from Ugo's perspective I could see how it'd be hard to understand Chavis cultivating these relationships only to bolt on him.

The kid just got played today. I find it difficult to laugh at him for that.

I haven't seen this kid do anything immature. Some people appear to be a little butthurt he's trying to recruit Phillips. I don't think he's that good, but the kid got an offer to play football at LSU so he's doing something better than most of us at 17.

Feel bad for the kid. Just had the rug pulled out from under him. If I understand correctly he has never visited LSU(thought I read that here). Committed to Chavis and now no Chavis. Not a good situation for him. I suspect he will be working KP hard so he doesn't have to go it alone.

Best thing he can do right now is honor his word and stick with LSU.

Life lesson. Learn from it and make the best out of a tough situation that he created for himself.

Again, never commit without fully understanding a situation. No OV was dumb.

the guy didnt make an educated decision without visiting the school but he committed to chavis which is not always the best idea committing to a coach but even if he would have visited he may have still liked it and committed because of Chavis but this deal apparently came out of left field.. let's hold out on bashing on the guy because he is young and you remember how you were when you were his age and maybe he didn't have a lot of help making his decision you never know a guy circumstances unless you're in them

Agreed. He's a kid. Really feel bad for him.

Really I see three things happening: sticks to LSU commitment; opens up to TAM to follow Chavis; goes with UT. He already de-committed from Ole Miss. These are kids who are anxious to be a part of a major program. He timed this with the bowl in Nashville. With Chief heading to College Station, it may be a short lived commitment - a verbal one at that.

I kind of feel bad for this young man. A Tennessee son slow played by his state university, takes the next best opportunity by committing to Ole Miss, gets an opportunity at an even better football school in LSU, and now his primary recruiter is out the door.

How many of us have tried to play our cards to better our lives in the workplace? This is no different other than the fact it's all public. And he is using the public aspect to help give him more leverage. Would I have handled it differently? Sure, but my advice for Ugo at this point in time is to put all that behind him and find the best opportunity for him to see the field early and often.

Most importantly, his God-given athletic abilities are about to get him a full ride to a major university, no matter where that is.

The Chief deal not completely out of left field. It had been reported for a couple days prior to his commitment that Chief refused to sign an extension. Reported that he was angry with the buyout.

Kids need someone who looks at the whole picture and can guide them. I hope for his sake someone will help him make the right decision for his future.

Here's my theory. Ugo knew Kyle wanted to go to UT but it was close with LSU, Ugo wanted both to play together at LSU, Ugo moves up his commitment in hopes of persuading Kyle to LSU with him, Chavis leaves, plan blows up in Ugo's face. The end.
