'15 TN CB Ugo Amadi

He's got a free education and a chance to compete at the highest level. How many of my Vol brethren have had that chance? Good for him, let it go!

Larry, LWSVOL, stated that both OM and UT were telling him Chavis was gone for the last couple of weeks. He had to know it was a good possibility. I think he actually played LSU by getting the papers to sign prior to Phillips commitment to insure him a spot on the LSU team.

I lean more towards this logic.

Exactly, and we got Martin. He is the best fit for us at this time anyway. Let Ugo be happy at LSU and we should be happy in Vol land. If we get P. Allen and Love/Newsome then there probably would not be room for Ugo.

Wishing Mr. Amadi the best. I don't think he ends up at LSU either.

I know he can get out of going to LSU but this is this kids 2nd commitment.

Seems clear to me that the kid decommitted from ole miss as soon as Chavis started to push. He clearly wanted to wait until after an OV but ....

Then suddenly his timeframe changed

Why did it change???

That part seems obvious to me. Lsu deadlined him because they knew chief was gone after the bowl game. They figured with chief leaving their only chance with Phillips was to have This kid committed. That's why they deadlined him IMO. Bad dishonest business if I am right.

Please please don't start bringing that BS back to the board. It's been glorious without you!

Posted this before and it is worth posting again.

IMO lsu screwed this kid by forcing his commitment BEFORE he or Phillips knew about Chief. They felt it was their best card to play to get Phillips.

Shame on LSU. People need to lay off the kid as he got royally lied to.

I wish him the best and if he ends up a Vol I suggest we all keep in mind he got played and support him

Bruin, I usually bite my finger & refrain from posting things i think, well sometimes. I have to agree because this is exactly what came to my mind as well.

Good to see you back. Your opinions differ from most, but they are good to see.

I'm not disagreeing just heard that LSU had pulled the scholly and that Buck had screwed any chance he had to be a Vol. Your info is probably better.

Buck didn't ruin anything. Ugo wanted his girlfriend at his school of choice UT was not going to do it. I'm sure you got this stupidity from Volquest that also said KP was going to LSU. And that Buck was steering players or kids to other schools. Our organization has sent all the kids from Mid TN to UT from E. Gordon to Josh Malone and in between. Get the facts correct

Do you think UGO still ends up at LSU? Do you know if he signed financial aid agreement locking himself a spot? If you can't say that's fine. Appreciate your insight.

I didn't get anything from VQ but thanks for straightening me out.

So, Buck and Coach Jones and Thig are all good then? That would be nice to hear since it's the opposite of what I was told.

EDIT: FTR I posted on 12/26 in the Phillips thread that the UT coach I spoke with felt very good about where they stood with Phillips just so we're clear on that point as well.

Dang miss Gordon... Could have been very good without the coaching changes

Nick, how long since you've been back to watch CHS play football? I bet it's been 35 years since I've been back. They had a really good team when I went to see them last time.

This is what i thonk happened...also..D1conley, I know you are close to these kids.,we are not, all we know of them is how they conduct themselves, and what they say. Ugo seemed to want to stick it to UT, and a lot of folks don't like him for that.

Who cares what a grown azz person thinks of a child. I think as grown ups many of you show your inner beoch. Gentlemen these are 16. 17, 18 yr old kids that have a life changing decision to make and it can be confusing. I understand many of you have not gone through the process because you weren't fortunate enough to experience it. Just know there's a lot of lying and conniving going on to get a kids signature behind the scenes that you do not or wouldn't be exposed to. Stop taking this stuff personal and accept the battles that are won and chalk the ones you lose, it's that simple.
