And what in the timeline backs the assertion that it was solely an offer from Georgia that caused Rico to commit? That's just lazy research. Like I continue to say, good luck keeping this kid for 13 months especially with Byron De'Vinner involved.

Ok, let me spell it out for you. Pruitt was DC at FSU ALL of last year. McGraw got an offer in March of last year. Did not commit, didn't even schedule a visit of any kind. He visited UT, he visited UA but not FSU WITH Pruitt .. but because Pruitt is with UGA now and gets an offer then commits, SUDDENLY it's about Pruitt. You can't make that make sense. Pruitt wanted the kid, the kid wanted to go to UGA.

Maybe it was the combination of Pruitt and UGA that did it for him, just like it would have been the combination of Pruitt and Bama that would have seen him go there if Pruitt was still at Bama. Dude probably just wants to play in the SEC and get coached by Pruitt.

That's just your assumption based on a recruiting website timeline. If you want to act like that's all the layers there is to his recruitment fine, but the rest of us that live in reality know otherwise. Must be your first year following recruiting.

McGraw wants to play in SEC not ACC. You can kid yourself all you want but it has everything to do with Pruitt and zero to do with UGA. You think Pruitt just randomly decided to make this his first offer as UGA DC?

If Pruitt was to pull a HC job before next year NSD in SEC McGraw would follow.

If Pruitt took a HC job outside of SEC he might follow but more likely would flip to Bama.

If Smart gets HC job and Pruitt leaves UGA high and dry after one season you bet your azz McGraw will flip to Bama. And yes Pruitt would make that lateral move

I just question the line of thinking that goes something like, "Man, I hate the state of Tennessee. Things are going to be so much better in Athens, Georgia or Birmingham, Alabama."

I think it's more likely with the Georgia situations that Pruitt sold Rico on a guarantee of early playing time. I would wager that our own coaches, at least from what I've heard our current recruits say, wouldn't offer that guarantee but quickly let him know that he would have an opportunity to compete for a spot on the two deep.

McGraw, who is rated as the No. 2 junior out of Tennessee, committed to UGA on Thursday, one day after being offered by new Bulldogs defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt. However, McGraw did point out to reporters that it was more than Pruitt’s hiring, that he had been waiting for a UGA offer for a “long time.”

Lol. What would you expect him to say? Not to mention, way to cite a 'reputable' publication like the AJC. No homerism there.
