'15 TN DB Rico McGraw

Jones must make UT a factor at Ensworth. There's way too much talent coming out of that school.

This. I believe he will. He has already made us a factor at BA and MBA. Nobody ever completely locks down a state, but CBJ has came pretty close.

McGraw was never going to come to UT anyway, so in that respect it's not a huge loss. I do think he's a very good safety prospect though and it's a nice pick up for UGA.

I'd also be surprised if he flipped.

I don't get the lack of interest in UT from the majority of Ensworth athletes and student body/families in general. UT seems to be beneath them yet they'll send their kids to Bama and Auburn as if those schools are more prestigious and less redneck than UT.

There has been couple of posts asking this. The thing is it got this way due to the fact that the rise of the middle TN powerhouses came at the exact same time our down fall happened. Just bad timing that they both happened at the same time. Then add in the fact that Vandy reached an all time high during the same period. It was a perfect storm. As you can see, it's already changing. We are on the way back up and Vandy is done. We will start to see Ensworth, Brentwood, etc. become much more positive toward UT. During the time they started producing such elite talent, we had the Kiffin and Dooley fiascos going on. Butch and us winning is gonna take care of this problem.

Best of luck to Rico. He didnt draw this out and drag us through a process that wasnt going to go our way.

Kid is a very good player. Georgia got a good one.

Malone. Hurd and TKjr are all > McGraw and I think Barnett possibly could be as well. McGraw is overrated. Time will prove this out.

Wish him the best of luck. He still has a year to decide what is the right move for him.

This one doesnt even remotely bother me. His stock has been plummeting and then you read about the off field issues to go along with it. Let him be someone else's headache.

What "off the field issues"? You either need to explain your post or you owe this high school kid an apology. Oh, and by the way, while you may think his "stock has been plummeting", Butch and company would LOVE to have this kid.

The "off the field issues" was from another poster on VQ. It was backed up by Woody Womack I believe

Like it or not, his stock has plummeted. That's a fact. He has stiff hips and was eaten alive by Devin Perry. He hasn't been impressive.

Woody Womack and other Rivals guys said it recently in regards to his ranking drop. They didn't go into detail. It's possible they could be referring to his off-field issues as simply associating with that De'Vinner guy. I've gotten the impression recently a lot of these analysts seem to view kids who associate with him as a big negative now. Who knows.

Looking at his post history you're probably on to something. Seems to really like Vandy, downplaying Malone's ability, saying the staff cant prepare players for the NFL because of their schemes (Richardson, Johnson), etc...

And in classic BDV style, seems to disappear quickly when he starts looking foolish during posting exchanges.

I ain't gone anywhere, just have better things to do than to try to talk sense to fools who trash any kid who decides to play for anyone other than UT. Ask any of the Vol players and/or coaches (if they will talk to you, that is): they respect each and every one of their opponents. Virtually all athletes do; people who don't show respect for other teams are usually those who have for some reason irrationally linked their ego with the on-filed performance of 17-22 year old kids.

btw; I do not believe I have ever "downplayed Malone's ability" - to the contrary; I think he is the best receiver prospect that I have seen come out of middle Tennessee. I do believe that Tiny would have been better served had he played in a scheme where he had a hand on the ground and could drive block. He has said the same thing. That's nothing negative about the staff; just my opinion.
