'15 TN DB Rico McGraw

I ain't gone anywhere, just have better things to do than to try to talk sense to fools who trash any kid who decides to play for anyone other than UT. Ask any of the Vol players and/or coaches (if they will talk to you, that is): they respect each and every one of their opponents. Virtually all athletes do; people who don't show respect for other teams are usually those who have for some reason irrationally linked their ego with the on-filed performance of 17-22 year old kids.

btw; I do not believe I have ever "downplayed Malone's ability" - to the contrary; I think he is the best receiver prospect that I have seen come out of middle Tennessee. I do believe that Tiny would have been better served had he played in a scheme where he had a hand on the ground and could drive block. He has said the same thing. That's nothing negative about the staff; just my opinion.

To me a fool would be someone who can't read or chooses to poorly comprehend what's been said. You've been told countless times who referenced what got your panties in a wad. And better things to do? Like what? Making sure your unemployment check is on time today?

And what's up with babbling about 'respecting other teams blah blah blah'? We are talking about the recruit that this thread was started for and his scumbag, bloodsucking handler. Try staying on topic if you have the mental faculties to do so.

And don't count out the Vols entirely with 2015 standout Rico McGraw, despite McGraw's recent commitment to Georgia. We believe the two parties communicated this week, and the Vols' landing Ensworth standout Michael Sawyers certainly doesn't hurt.

My bama friend texted me within last week or so about McGraw.... Here is what he had to say (3 back-to-back texts) --

"Insider on BOL saying Rico McGraw met with Saban today and it went well. Family friend said they were all shocked with him committing to UGA and the family is saying he will be flipping to Bama.. That Rico made emotional commitment to uga but doesnt plan to go there now. we will see.. . full yr to go on him ha.....Supposedly he has some handler that pressured him into committing to uga? May be a lie.. Dont know, but someone said it. said his plan had always been Bama and now they think he will flip at some point. who knows....And pruitt pressured him to do it then. anyway.. Who knows whats true with recruiting.. We will see"

Sounds a lot like what Woody was hinting at over on Rivals with his "off field issues" comment. It sure sounds like the kid or his family has surrounded him with some very shady characters.

I know he was on Byron's 7 on 7 team last year. But heard the family was trying to distance themselves from him last year. So I don't know.

So there's a handler who wants him at UGA but he has been communicating with Bama and UT. The whole thing sounds weird.

I think he wanted to go to Georgia, like it was stated, but his handler is also a fan of Georgia. He'll stay in contact with UT and Bama.

I hope that the kid and his family will distance themselves from whoever this handler is. If not, then this might be one of the ones that leaves someone at the altar on signing day next year.

RICO MCGRAW DB, 6-0/190, NASHVILLE, TENN.

REASON FOR THE RANKING: McGraw has been a coveted prospect for years and a big reason is his size and ability to play multiple positions in the defensive backfield. Although he plays cornerback for Ensworth, most believe his ceiling is highest at safety at the next level. Regardless, he's an SEC defensive back because of his athleticism and size.

THE SKINNY: McGraw surprised a lot of people when he committed to Georgia just a day after picking up a Bulldog offer. But, that won't slow down Tennessee and McGraw hasn't stopped talking to the Vols' either. Tennessee seemed to really pick up some momentum this past summer when McGraw visited several times and really seemed to be back in the thick of things. Now, they are fighting to make sure McGraw continues to consider them and early reports suggest he will.

Interesting. Not sure if that helps if he's still associated with the same outside influences though. Why do they go to two different high schools?

If this is about DeVinner, they disassociated themselves with him last year. I don't think Mareio liked it at Ensworth.

I've seen comments from both the Rivals national guys and posters on the Alabama site in just the last few weeks that seem to say otherwise. Unless it is someone else they are talking about who is in with Pruitt and pushed him in that direction.

Just because we offered his brother, it changes things? What will it matter when/if he gets offers from UGA or Bama. Not that big of a deal IMO. I was surprised by the commitment to UGA, seemed like he was sold on Bama and being coached by Saban at DB. I think he will end up at Bama.

Offering a family member can't ever hurt obviously. Thing to watch will be who follows UT with an offer to the lil brother. Also with them being in different classes, does someone offer lil bro to get Rico and then the '16 offer is no longer valid once Rico's LOI is signed. Could very well be that lil bro is a star and a take for just about anyone anyway.

I think the wins and losses plus a bowl game this year will be very important to get some of these elite in- state players. This next class may prove to be more important than last years.
