I had that injury two years ago. It's not that bad. I went up and down two flights of stairs and drove to the ER with it.

Then you didn't break your ankle. I broke my left ankle and could not even put an ounce of weight on it. No offense to you but this is most likely a lie. Either that or you were so blasted out of your mind you were out of touch with reality.

Hahaha really? It's no lie. Landed wrong with all of my weight going the wrong way playing basketball. Tried to catch a high an wide pass to the top of the key. Snapped a huge chunk out of my fibula with a hairline going up it. What kind of jackass tries to call an injury comment a lie? What benefit do I have? None.

i shattered my tibial plateau and walked around for 4 days on it. just random falling made me go to the doctor. the knee hurt some, but it was the walking along and all of a sudden your leg gives out that made me go hmmmm.

Yeah, I too broke my ankle. Couldnt even move my foot afterward. Couldnt put any weight on it, not even touch my foot to the ground, until a couple of weeks after surgery. I can see putting weight on a crack, but not on an actual break. Dont see how it would be possible to balance

bear bryant played against tn with a broken leg. people experience pain differently, reminds me of that movie recently, about the seals, and the guy who fought with his leg broken. he jumped off a couple cliffs with it. unfortunately he didnt survive, God bless him

its not really the pain i was referring to. more of the control of the foot. when i broke mine, my foot was just flopping around.

Broke mine in 4 places playing basketball. I didn't even know it was broke until I tried to get up and landed on my face. It would not support any weight at all.

In fact I'll give you a picture of it 20 mins after it happened.

Please note my ankle and foot are pretty defined. I played soccer in HS. There's no fat there or cankles. That's all swollen. I was a prayer away from needing pins.

Similar Injuries have different effects on people. I've always had a high tolerance of pain. It doesn't make me more of a man. I'm either lucky or have crappy nerves. Not sure which.

Not to be that guy, but you can still walk with a broken fibula. Your tibia would be a different story. The tibia is 85-90% of where your weight goes through.

i did and it looked like ragnar lothbrook did a blood eagle on it on my xray.. it was dull pain like a bad sprain... with occasional debilitating pain that can only be compared to being struck by lightning
