'15 TN DB Rico McGraw

I think the wins and losses plus a bowl game this year will be very important to get some of these elite in- state players. This next class may prove to be more important than last years.

This is stated with every upcoming class

So here's my problem with UGA. I understand this guy is very talented. And we obviously want him bad. But why do they pursue here in Tenn when they have just as talented guys in their own state. If not more talented. Is it because they let aub fl and al come in and rape there state that they have to go out. I would like to here everyones thoughts. For me in want to win my own state first. And I am glad we finally did that this year.

You go after the best players no matter what state they are in

While I agree somewhat with Serpent that you go get the best players no matter where they are, your point is very valid. There are studs all over the state of Georgia. Your comments make me think of another head coach who did the exact same thing...forgot some of the talent that was in-state (albeit ALOT fewer prospects than are in Georgia) to pursue less likely prospects out of state, and it led to his demise, as well as the program's. Ring a bell to anyone? I believe Richt is heading down a very similar path.

That's more of what I was getting at. Honestly its like richt is almost scared to go head to head with all and aub . He does battle them for some but there is a ridiculous amount of highly rated people that leave the state that u know uga wanted.

Just because we offered his brother, it changes things? What will it matter when/if he gets offers from UGA or Bama. Not that big of a deal IMO. I was surprised by the commitment to UGA, seemed like he was sold on Bama and being coached by Saban at DB. I think he will end up at Bama.

If we have a better year than expected, win 7-8 games, and make it to a bowl game and win it I think he will be a Vol of not I don't see him switching from the dawgs. In other words I think he wants to see the program heading in the right direction before he will buy in.

It seems pretty clear to me. They understand that the young men from Tennessee are better football players.

Me and Cecil are working on it lol. Met him at a couple games/camps and we've kept in contact.

Nice so we do have legit shot here. Everything you read says will be near impossible to get out of Florida. But he has the opportunity to come in and be a game changer from day one

Or it could be his JR year of college before/IF he ever takes a snap in a game. Riley and Josh are considered top tier QBs. Not sure why so many feel a kid going into his SR year of HS will just step on campus and take things over.

We have a lot of delusional fans on this board. All we know of this kid is he is a good HS player and a Twitter master who can get gullible fans to think he could be the second coming.

For every Winston and Manziel there are 100 freshman quarterbacks that don't do well there freshman year if they start....Torrance or one of the Texas boys are not guaranteed.

Yeah, but you can't win the freshman QB lottery if you don't buy a ticket.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see UT get the kid.(Very little chance IMO). I just don't buy into the thinking that a true FR walking in the door takes the job from a couple elite 11 guys with 2+ years in the program.

3/4 of the people on here talk out their A$$es. When you know the recruit personally, it makes for some good laughs on here. :good!:
