I actually feel bad for UGA fans just like I do Clemson fans. Well, kinda. They both have coaches that will never lose enough games to get fired but never win it all. They'll have a down year here and there mixed in with 10 wins but never quite get the job done at the end of the year and win that National Championship. They know it, we know it and anyone who watches enough CFB knows it.

We certainly had a run of awful seasons after Fulmer (who did actually win a BCS title) but it feels really good having Butch Jones as our HC. He's going to put UT in a position to win SEC and National titles. Feelsgoodman.
Thanks for your sympathy, I'm sure Clemson fans also appreciate it.

I was in Athens yesterday for business and drove by Sanford stadium. I never realized how small UGA stadium is compared to Neyland. First time I have ever been to that stadium and looks bigger on TV but in person it looked small.
Oh yeah, 92,000+ is tiny.

We never had any Georgia fans where I grew up in Johnson City, so I didn't learn to hate them like I did the Bammers (not many of them either) or the Gators (a ton of them - THANKS STEVE).

I will say, though, they were awfully close in 2012. That SEC championship was a great game, simply from the perspective of a college football fan. I think they would have wiped the floor with the Golden Domers. That was a really talented Georgia squad.

Florida fans are the worst and it may not be close.

The one close friend I have that is an Alabama fan is a very reasonable sports fan, though, so I've avoided the crazies.

I have been there twice- 2000 when Donnan ended the streak and in 2004 when it was a damn good feeling.

I have actually been there twice as well, 2004 and 2006. 2004 I was in the Pride. We went to so many places that I've forgotten some.

I am sure that was fun, being able to go on so many road trips.

I was fortunate as a student that I was able to go to many of the SEC venues. I had been to them all except LSU until A&M and Mizzou were added.

LSU is deff on my bucket list. Death Valley looks absolutely insane! The best road game I've ever gone to was the Swamp in 2003, which was my first road game. I think the combination of the atmosphere, the game itself, and the novelty of the first road game made it the best for me.

Ruby Ridge IMO.
Let me tell you a story, not long ago.
High on a mountain in Idaho.
In Idaho, I was living free.
Sold a sawed off shotgun to the deputy.

Well don’t shoot me down.
(They're gonna shoot me down)
Don’t shoot me down.
I gotta wife and kids on Ruby Ridge.
They gonna shoot me down.

They shot my good dog, they shot my boy.
My only son, my pride and joy.
They left my wife dead on the floor,
Holding our baby in a cabin door.

On Ruby Ridge! Stay away from Ruby Ridge!

The outcome of the game can determine the experience. I went to the Swamp in 1999, and it was probably my worst. We were treated terribly. I have actually been to Alabama 3 times, and they haven't been that bad- one minor incident.

Been to LSU twice...UT won both :)
Great place to go when we win, their fans looked really dazed and confused both times after the game.

My all time favorite away game was in Birmingham against bama. Beat Bear's squad. I led the charge to storm their field. Was met at the fence as I was halfway over by the billy club of an alabama state trooper. He said, "Boy, you ain't at home. Stay off our field" and shoved me off the fence. I laughed and said "thanks! Good game" did not feel the big arse bruise until the next morning :salute:

The heat made it miserable though. I was in the top row and still couldn't find a breeze. That's by far the hottest football game I've ever attended and I grew up 4 hours south of Gainesville in the damn Everglades.

I hope he flips soon or there may be no room left. I see a run of commits between July 10th and August 1st with about 3 spots being held for some really big fish...JMO
