You should make the trip up to Rochelle Field one Friday night. Coalfield lives and breathes Yellow Jacket football.
I am sure you would enjoy it.

I'd like to go to that second game

Seems like a very talented kid. the only thing I'm worried about is the competition that he plays against. I've saw the teams that play in 1A,and they are not to great for the most part.

Most of the time, 1-A players get offers from schools like Carson Newman or Tennessee Tech. However, there is an occasional player who is gifted enough for the top level college programs. Saw this kid play against Greenback, and he blocks like a freakin tank. After the game, I learned he was in tenth grade. I am not sure, but I believe some of Coalfield's non region games are against 2 and 3-A teams. Despite the small size, Coalfield is one of the better 1-A teams that takes on bigger schools. This kid is a take.

Holy crap, that's a tough schedule. One of the top 5 smallest schools in the state (Coalfield) playing Knoxville Catholic, and then travelling to South Bend, Indiana to play Notre Dame. Coalfield is picked #2 in 1A this season

Zach Stewart will be on the front of PrepXtra magazine. Can't help but say that's a Tennessee boy right there.

This kid is going to be a great one at UT. Doubt many guys are going to outwork him. Really glad he's going to be a Vol.

I know he's projected at OL but please God let this guy play DT! I'd love to see it.

I love the future of our Oline. With Sanders at left tackle Stewart at Left Guard then Thomas at Center Wiseman at Right Guard and Brown at Right Tackle. Plus we have Raulerson at Guard and Jones also at Tackle. We just need a couple more in this class and next and our oline wont miss a beat

It almost seems like Posey is becoming Steven Jones

Our future o-line will have a good motor. Just sayin....

Watching Mr Stewart play against my beloved Copper Basin Cougars. He's making our guys look like pee wee players. 47-0 Coalfield still in the 2nd.

Personally, I thought he looked soft. He should have/could have half a dozen sacks but either held back or played lazy.

Maybe he's spending his time perfecting his skills on the offensive side of the ball since that's what's paying for his college. ????

I attended the game just to get a look at this kid. He's got the size and the speed. He needs to play lower . Overall I was unimpressed, but I was also unimpressed by another small school kid a few years ago named Eddie Moore at South Pittsburg and he worked out ok for us.

With his size the only thing is whether or not he can move his feet. I watched Chad Clifton a couple of times his senior year and opposing coaches were saying he was getting beat off the edge by the DE's. I pointed out that he would not be playing against 170 Lb DL and also pointed out that he ran down the QB who ended up being a college outfielder. If they have the frame to carry their weight easily and can move their feet they can play OL at a high level.
