'15 TN DT/OL Zach Stewart (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Right now are we assuming Jones as Tackle and Stewart/Boulware as Guards?

Is Burrell a Guard?

You'll get good arguments either way. I think all 4 could play G/RT. It will be an interesting storyline to watch once they're all on campus.

See I think Stewart looks like a guard. I think that will benefit him long term to play guard. Now I could see jack jones at right tackle. He looks a little bit more athletic, but like a previous poster stated in our zone blocking scheme I think Mr. Stewart will be a good guard. I think a redshirt year would be great for him. I guess it would for all lineman but unfortunately it doesn't look like we could do that right now.

I get pissed off every time I here the Willis story and how he wanted to come to UT. We really missed out on an awesome LB.

I question how the guy was so underrated and a player like Chris Donald got rated so highly. I was never impressed by Donald when he was at Huntingdon but Willis, well you just prayed no one on the other team got hurt when he played. Extremely nice and humble kid though in high school from a good family.

didn't know foot speed was a measuring stick for being a guard or tackle... it's all in the hips and arm length my friend. which, watching his film, I can say Stewart is a tackle all the way. Is kick step is elite.. just has to work on flipping and sitting into his hips

Just look at Kerbyson and see what lack of arm length and foot speed will get you at the tackle position and he's been in the program a few years. Foot speed and agility are critical at the tackle spot. Stewart will be a guard for us and hopefully a solid contributor. I'm just not sold that he will be ready to go until he improves his SAQ. I'm really pulling for him ad I started previously, I love it when homegrown kids are part of our program.

You have no idea how long any of our players or recruits arms are. Guaranteed.

First, the staff has said he is being recruited as a guard. Second, go look at the 40 times for the O-line last year in the combine and pro day. He is no slower than that bunch. The average person could walk faster than Bullard ran it. S&C will get him in shape and quicker off the blocks.

Looks like I will get to see him play next week. Coalfield will be playing Cloudland in Roan Mountain next week.

Congrats to Zach Stewart on leading the Coalfield Yellow Jackets to their first state championship game in school history.
That's great for coalfield. When I watched them earlier this year I knew they had a great offense I just worried about the defense, but it seems like they are stepping up at the right time. Hopefully they can bring one home.
