All i know is i seen this kid out the other day and he is got to be pushing 230 240 huge upper body he is going 2 be one of the few that is not going to come in and have 2 get caught up strenght wise

Thanks for sharing. Do you know anything else on Brant? Also could you see him playing DE?

I know a little he played sports with my grandson in middle school and high school when he was in rockwood. I know he is a very smart kid academics will play a big part in his recruiting good head on the kid... I could seeing him droping down and playing there but i think teams will like him a lb cause he is a whole lot faster than the 4.7 40 time everyone has listed for him i say he is in the 4.5 to 4.6 range

Webb has a scrimmage today. I will be attending and will report back with notes on Mitchell.

Scrimmage Notes: Mitchell is an absolute man child. Played full back in the Wing T and Middle Linebacker on defense. Took his first carry for about 30 yards on a trap, poor kid from campbell county got as low as he could on Mitchell, but he completely bowled over him without losing stride. On defense he is a sure tackler, plays with anger. Gonna be a good one fellas.

Tell him he should pull the trigger quickly. With Cherry and Dews already LBs for the 2015 class, I doubt we take but maybe 1 more.

Numbers are going to be very tight in 2015. We are in on alot of quality LBs for that class. Waiting could cost the kid a spot IMO. A few DTs in the 2014 class could probably speak on that a little if asked.

We need about 5 LBs next class too. When the 2015 class hits campus most of the guys will be gone and the juco kid will be a senior. I wouldn't mind taking 5-6 guys at LB personally. I want the position loaded to the max.

So if the class is a total of 17-18, you see us taking 5-6 LBs? Interesting.

There will be some attrition. I could see someone like Vincent Dallas looking elsewhere if he's surpassed. Others will be gone too. Meredith will open up another scholarship. And whoever else transfers. We'll see what happens but attrition will happen no doubt.

I think it is pretty clear that we have a great shot at Mitchell and Keaton Anderson to go along with Cherry. Maybe we take one more LB or Mitchell considers being a DE. But that is a great start, and we are almost done with LB and OL in that class.

I don't think we are taking 3 MLBs. We may only take 3 LB total.

I guess I didn't realize all 3 were MLB, but I would bet that we wouldn't turn them away. Anderson is UT royalty like the Berry's, and Mitchell is in our backyard. JMO.

I really wish we could ditch Dews and take Cherry, Mitchell (I think he's a take because he's instate and local as well as being a boss), and then save a spot for players like Anderson and Holland.

A 2 year LB class of (rivals stars)...

Weatherd, Mouhon, Bryant, Bates, Cherry, Mitchell, possibly Creamer and Holland/Anderson

Absolutely sick

Numbers will not be tight next year. We will have a class of 22 to 25. Remember this will be Butch's first full class and first season. We will lose 4 or so of the DD commits that don't fit. Carson and Clark are 2 that will be gone, happens ever year, everywhere.
