'15 TN RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn

That's where ur wrong you will be sad! Let him go to another SEC school and Tenn will be sorry when he plays them. Same thing happened with Santonio Beard Tenn let him go to Bama and he torch them for almost 300 yards that game. So yeah u will be sorry.

Beard never had 300 yards against UT and lost that 2001 game where he had 150 yards. I'd take Stephens over him any day, anyway.

Vaughn is a good player, but I think he isn't critical to this class and Hurd is better than him, too.

Why argue about this? Lebanon stated its his opinion. So drop it. The rb situation looks good at UT and all things are looking good with Johnny Frasier per a reliable source. So whoever they get whether KV, RR, etc they're more than likely gonna RS or play strictly ST.

First I wasn't addressing you. Second, who do you think you are to tell me what I can and can't say to someone else on this message board??

He stated his opinion and I stated that his opinion (nor mine for that matter) doesn't mean much when you're talking about how much playing time a kid may or may not get his freshman year in college.

True that he had 141 on 10 carries my bad. But I stand by my post don't think tennessee would want this kid to play for another SEC school.

Well if it's for Vandy I doubt they'd care. Ke'Shawn would be a shark going into battle with a first line of goldfish

Would he start?? Probably not. Get playing time? Maybe, maybe not. RS??? Honestly, you nor I have ANY clue how any of these scenarios will play out. NO clue. For you to assume he would RS is very speculative at best.

I'm not sure why everybody keeps thinking every freshman needs and will get a RS anyway. When you are
pulling elite talent they number of RS kids goes down significantly. A lot of these star prospects don't stay more than 3 years, much less 5.

It's always better if possible...at some point we'll have the luxury of doing so. It's not a slight, but a benefit of pulling in 2-3 standout backs a year.

So we take him to keep him from another school? Kamara says hi.

It is better, I agree. I just like to think the talent we pull should be more of the 3-4 year then go to the league guys, rather than 5 year guys. I don't have numbers to back me up, but seems to me that most of the guys (skill position) that stay 5 years aren't the NFL type talents.

Now with that said, I would take 3 yrs from Jamal Lewis, 4 years from Travis Henry and 5 years from Travis Stephens scenarios all day :)

Also lean more towards wanting to RS linemen than skill guys.

Those are just my thoughts. Not necessarily right but it's how I look at it.

Agree on skill players that are instant impact...Travis Stephens didn't redshirt his freshman year but benefitted from his junior redshirt.

Fair enough but I think you need all the 4 and 5 year guys with talent that you can get. Major college football is not the NFL, although 3 year NFL guys are obviously great too. I think the teams that succeed have nice balance of star power and Sr leadership, experience.

There have been many excellent 4 and 5 (sometimes 3) year CFB players that haven't panned out in the league and you could build a NC team with those type of players.

I wonder what the stats are for NC teams and Future NFL players.

I know you were just stating your opinion and I'm not saying its wrong. just throwing in my 2 cents.

So did we ever find out if de1conley is a world class talent evaluator extraordinaire with NFL connections and a massive house or a simple barber?

But u clearly stated Lager he was running a recruit off withbhis opinion and that's not true my friend. I dgaf what you say or your opinion is. But u blammed the man for something he clearly didn't do.

I agree with this too. I just try not to assume that anyone will RS, not RS etc. Just in general my attitude is let the coaches figure it all out. :hi:

I don't think I clearly said that at all. I guess I just feel like all of Leb's posts come off the same way, as if he knows what is going on in recruiting or has some special insight. And I know he always puts IMO in his posts, but for some reason they rub me the wrong way, right or wrong. I guess that is a pet peeve of mine when people speak in absolutes or say certain scenarios are "very likely" when in reality none of us on here know.

With that said, I know this is a message board and it IS for opinions, and everyone has one. We all have faults, and that is one of my many faults. Being impatient with others on here. Not because I disagree with them, but because of the presentation of their posts, or how it comes across to me. If these were conversations in person, we may have totally different opinions of the people on here. It's hard to tell a person's personality or how they mean to come across on a message board.

So that is something I need to work on as a person. :hi:

Honestly Lager i don't know much about anyoneon here because I'm not on much @ all. It was just a generalread and react. No big issue at all. Maybe I'll learn oneday lol.

I see I made in time for the Friday Night Playa Hatas Ball.

Or is this Friday Night Sissy Fights?

I remember a similar situation a few years back where a Tn. RB wanted earlier playing time, Kimbrow ended up at Vandy and I don't know that it worked out well for him. At least a Vandy education is one to be proud of.

IIRC Kimbrow was dismissed from the Vandy program

Imma clown but he's arguing about a schedule with maybe 2 winning teams on it. yet I scout talent and work with kids every Sunday including the likes of Van Jefferson Kyle Phillips Ugo Amadi Jacobi Stevens Jack Jones and worked with Tiny Richardson and James Stone Orleans Darkwa Dezmond Johnson Alejandro Atoine etc in the past. Lmao I honestly don't need any internet cred and people can believe who they want to believe. But as i said list the PC schedule and let the ppl judge. I promise you this I'll bet the business i own and the 3500 sq ft house if PC makes it to play Knox Fulton and that's purely based on coaching and leadership. PC has the talent as I've said just no leadership and it starts at the top and that's been known by several prominent football alumni and coaches.

De1, what years did you play at UT?

With a convincing first round victory over Lexington one week ago, the Raiders (6-5) aim to stop an offensive juggernaut in the form of Pearl Cohn (9-2) on Friday night on the road in the second round of the District 4-A playoffs.

The blaring issue for Spring Hill is Pearl Cohn’s 5-foot-11, 210 pound running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn, nicknamed the “Red Mamba”.

“This kid has got sprinter speed,” Raider head coach Tom Turchetta said of Vaughn. “I’ve watched him run in track meets up at David Lipscomb, the regionals. The kids have run and watched him run. If we miss a tackle or we are not where we are supposed to be, he can turn the game around in one run.”

The numbers don’t lie; the senior Vaughn has torched opposing defenses to the tune of 2,031 yards on 162 carries for 33 touchdowns.
