'15 TN RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn

I like this guy as an all around overall player, but i don't see something that is definitely more special about him than other prospects. Love to have him if we had a dependable oline. But olines make the rb in most cases and don't see how this kid would be utilized for success unless we fix that.

So we shouldn't recruit any running backs until the o-line is fixed? Im guessing CBJ is planning on fixing it.

Much hate for Love on this board, I sense...

:)

No hate, I think a lot see his size being a problem for him in this conference. I think love ends up playing a scat back or as a slot guy, I see a guy like Vaughn adding depth behind Hurd and or Kamara, whereas Love fills the role of pig, and I could be completely wrong but jmo

By all accounts from people who would know, Love is up to 190 lbs, and somewhere between 5'10" & 5'11".

He hasn't stepped foot on a college campus yet.

Seems like pretty good size to me, considering his ridiculous track speed?

He is fast and runs as hard as anyone I have seen but there is no way I give him the ball on 3rd and 1 in the SEC. He is a 3rd and long back for UT or a jet sweep specialist.

Yeah that's what I'm seeing too, I think either guy can make our team better so either that chooses UT I'll be excited over.

No but until we do I'd recruit players that have a specific skill we can use to try and outweigh or mask the oline problems. Recruit players that do something really well and utilize it. Rather have someone whose really good at one thing over someone whose decent at most things. I dunno that's why I'm not coach, but the oline didn't seem to develop too much over the season and those are positions that don't get fixed over night. Oline generally takes longer than some positions to develop and see results, and i worry that the current players (Dooley's players) might just not be that good. Either way you cut it, looks like it's not something that's gonna be completely fixed next season or maybe even the next.

Either one, IMHO, but I do like Love's tape a bit better. His speed sets him apart, but Vaughn has come on strong, lately, and I think has the frame to develop in a Melvin Gordon type of player. Not a scat back. Not your classic power back, either. But somewhere in between.

He's not there yet, but a few years in the S&C program here, and he'd look like Rajion Neal or Montario Hardesty.

I agree on Gordon which is why I said Big10 but ppl tk that as a negative. Btw Neal and Montario aren't nearly on the same planet as Gordon

I was talking about size, not career yardage/production...although both RB's made it to the league.

Both Hardesty and Neal were a little on the thin side as freshmen, but they bulked up by the time they were juniors and seniors. Although neither would be classified as power backs.
