'15 TN RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn

Maybe because Reid was talking about taking a visit to WI. He takes that visit and the staff could decide to fill his spot with another RB. JMO

Or maybe they think they can replace him with someone who they believe is a better RB prospect. I know that's like saying Lord Valdermort's name to you but it is what it is. It's not anyone's favorite part of recruiting but it's something that is necessary from time to time and happens at nearly every school (at least those in a position to do so). The bottom line is that you take the best players who give you the greatest chance of winning. Sometimes you're going to hurt some feelings along the way but they'll get over it. Reid will land at a great school for him no matter what, and I think there are some places where his style fits in much better than it does at UT (power running teams like Wisconsin or Arkansas). I like Reid as a prospect but I never thought he was a great fit for our offense and imo there are some guys who are better fits for Butch's offense out there.

We wanted lacy from what I recall and didnt back off. I am pretty sure Lacy is who had told his parents and coaches he was choosing TN before walking on stage and he said something told him to choose bama while he was waiting to announce.

I think Vaughn has a little more speed than Reid in addition to much better quickness and cutting ability. He also has great balance which imo is one of the most underrated/under-appreciated qualities for a back to have.

Agreed. I think Vaughn's balance really sticks out in his film.

How many RBs are we in on that have broken the state rushing record? Rocky is the only one and if you think that breaking a state record is nothing or easy to do you are crazy and you know nothing about being a RB! Sorry but true.

The only way Reid and Hurd are similar is their hs coach ran them 40 times a game

Highschool stats are pointless. Especially in states like nc and tenn where the football is average at best. I'm not big on reid or Vaughn honestly. I say kamara and reid if he sticks. If not go kamara and Fraiser if we could get him. Use the other spot on the oline.

Vaughn is only a 3 star on most sites as well iirc so you can't use the star gazer argument. And he has a much high YPC than Reid. If Vaughn got as many carries per game as Reid does then he would have more yards. So before you start calling people out about not knowing what they're talking about you should actually do a little research. I said that I like both of them in my previous posts but I just prefer Vaughn. No big deal in having a different opinion man.

Ohio State handed out a few new offers over the last week that caught some people by surprise. One of these was to three-star running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn, who is averaging about 200 yards per game and 14 yards per carry this fall. The initial thought is that this offer happened as a back up to possibly losing Damien Harris, but that does not seem to be the case. Vaughn is having such an impressive senior season that this is a player who the Buckeyes just decided they want in their program. It's too early to say if Vaughn plans to give Ohio State a long look, but with the season he is having, you can be sure that he will likely have plenty of new options over the next month or two. And, as we all know by now, I think Harris ends up at Kentucky.

He broke the county record not the state record IIRC.

Guys @ this point KV does not have a commitable offer. I think he's better than Reid but I don't know the level of competition in NC Reid plays against but Pearl Cohn literally plays nobody and Metro HS football is at an all time low.

I watched Reid's huddle from his Jr year and he looked like the biggest, fastest kid on the field at all times. Just ran towards the edge every time and, at least in the highlights, usually beat everybody there. Hard to tell how good he is from the film.

Vaughn had another huge game last night, rushing for 303 yards & 4 TDs on 21 carries. He's now up to 1,820 yards & 30 TDs on just 144 carries.

No problem and btw its been noticed that the coaches @ Pearl Cohn hv been oadding KV numbers. Also in my opinion if smart KV needs to go to the Big 10 because it better accommodates his running style. He had the same kind if stats last year but nobody noticed him until he got with Buck Fitzgerald and National Playmaker Academy then he got offeredby Ky, Illinois, Louisville Purdue. He's a decent back buy probably not SEC caliber.

I've seen Vaughn play, a couple of weeks ago at Vandy's stadium, and feel he is a good, not great prospect. I won't be sad to get him, nor not get him. He does have potential, though.

I will say that the kid from Nashville Christian, Daniel Bituli, is an out and out beast. He's the kid we must get from the Metro area from the junior class. He will be a phenomenal LB.

Show me proof where Pearl-Cohn staff have been boasting keshawn stats. Look vol fans a see this kid play every Fri night! If Tenn don't get this kid it will back fire on them. He's a hard worker never complain bout anything. This kid will help Tenn trust me! So don't listen to this guy talking bout keshawn.
