'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

I doubt it but he's still a stud imo.

Yeah. Isn't a knock on him, he just doesn't have the skill set that makes a 5 star WR from recruiting services. which is fine. Productive, steady careers are welcome. As are actual mutants like Preston Williams.

I've been thinking about this, and I've come to a conclusion. Since none of us are qualified to sit around the table with Tux and discuss football, why should we be qualifed to discuss it with him on a forum? Therefore, out of respect for his expansive and wide ranging football knowledge, we should all put him on ignore. Then we won't be tempted to respond to his brilliant posts. I am several months ahead of myself on this one.

**Disclaimer** flowd82 cannot predict the future & has no concrete, factual evidence of what the future will hold. The upcoming statement and prediction is purely a personal opinion derived from discussions with others & deductive reasoning. **End Disclaimer**.

Van's father has seemed big on UT & very impressed with CBJ for a good while now, and it only helps that Van's mother tagged along this last trip. The vibe is very optimistic and positive regarding Van & UT at the moment. Van will be making his college decision this summer in the near future. Nothing groundbreaking or necessarily new, but nonetheless what I was told. IMO, if Van hypothetically was being forced to sign with a program today, he would be a Vol.

WRU gon' WRU.

Suck it Urban Meyer. Rejoice in the fact you landed V.Bell by D.Dooley properly f****** up that recruitment. But don't get accustomed to that. It will be a rare occurrence you out recruit B.Jones.

Also, suck it Mark Richt. Better luck next year. You should have known better than to ever attempt to land a WR recruit that UT was actively recruiting. Hell, even Derek Dooley stole and signed the top WR and overall player committed to UGA in GA 5* Da'Rick Rogers. Hell, WRU even walked right into UGA's home state and stole the best WR & overall player from their backyard this year too in GA 5* Preston Williams. No respect. Should probably just go ahead and concede the elite WRs to UT from now on. Save the gas, letters, and text messages. WRU will take it from here. Haha.

Vols B****.

And the third BOOM of the day for flowd! :salute: You have brought it today! Good info.

That's some serious suckin' up action. Not necessary, bro.

Lol! Cute pic. Why would I brown nose on a message board? Stupid comments are stupid. Was just telling him I'm appreciative of the info he brought yesterday on a few of our big targets.

I have posted multiple times to this thread about Jefferson and I will continue top post to this thread. When I see topics of debate from other threads pop up in here, I all continue to call that poster out n the carpet.

Now, I am not the one who's obsession with a player has affected his judgement.

This earned an ignore.

Heard an update from Bucknuts "Morning 5" published yesterday on 247. Highlights:

Onced seemed like OHST lock and wanted to commit; did not at urging of his parents. They heard his visit w/ the Vols this past weekend went great, and Vols in top 2 with other school not disclosed.

His was scheduled to be at Florida this week with visits to UGA and OHST to follow. Commitment possible by perhaps late July.

Van's Dad is not sold on CUM developing him into NFL wide receiver; he actually prefers UGA in this regard. Mom wants him close to home and Tennessee seems to be her preference.

Mom did prefer UGA before the visit, Dad preferred UT. Both parents are comfortable with UT and so is Jefferson. I think this will be a win for the good guys.

Lol bless their hearts

That is entirely contradictory to most everything being reported on Jefferson's recruitment.

Yea keep in mind each team's reporters will cater to the hometown crowd, just like our guys write with our interests in mind. I just like hearing varying viewpoints.

Just relaying the info, not endorsing it.

Not directing this to you...each team's reporters would be catering to their fans by telling them the truth about what is actually going on in the recruitment of a prospect, not giving them false hope with twisted info. I don't think it sells any more subscriptions by lying. JMO. Does VQ sell less subscriptions by giving accurate and honest info? Nope. They probably get more, because they are very honest with the fan base, and when they say something, we listen closely.

Haha. A relatively smooth day at work, some unexpected UT football knowledge shared, the girlfriend being away, & unhealthy amounts of Mountain Dew can go a long ways.

In that case you need to have your T levels checked. Heck, you could be a donor to those less fortunate!!!

Agree. And by cater i just meant write towards the interest of the particular team, not twisting info.

FWIW same story indicated it was their belief that OHST's stock w/ Van is declining. They felt their stock was rising w/ Christian Kirk.

this. ****ing this. Thank you. I'm in this thread to talk about van jefferson and our incredibly filthy wr unit. I'm not in here to go around and around for the 200th time with this gibson vs dormady vs jennings crap.

So, about our 2015 wide recievers.....we skrong den.

fyp 😊

His commitment would stagger in talent to the roster as North a jr, Malone So etc as #1's moving forward

The wealth of WR talent at UT is ridiculous already. Adding PDub and Jefferson to this already dangerous WR corps would be insane. I can't wait to see how our WRs do this coming up year.

I cant wait to see Dormady tossing the ball around to these guys in a few years. The final piece of the puzzle that needs to be addressed IMO for the future of this offense is OT. It is so critical they get some elite guys there. The RB's, the WR's, the TE's, the QB and the interior of the Oline should all be there IMO.

MH, I think we are really, really close to having a stellar offense. We could even see real evidence of it this season. With good QB play and some OLine consistency, we could be really dangerous for anyone sleeping on our offense.

Who are you favorites on the future interior? I'm hoping Austin Sanders sees some action.
