I hate UGA more than any team... but UGA is less deep at WR than we are so I can understand him leaving.

yep we lose a lot after this year and we have a number of guys coming back from acl tears. if we can add Jefferson (this is a surprise after reading this thread for the past few months) and that would allow use to put slayton at db. it will be interesting for sure to see if van does indeed commit to UGA.

Thought the same thing everytime someone said depth is a reason he should not choose uga. UT's WR's are on another level compared to uga and IMO it's not close. Would have loved to seen CBJ get another instate talent, but WR is a position that I'm not worried about at this point. Use the last couple of spots on difference makers at positions of need.

Also with having Kendall recruiting for us for 2016, and Hunter Johnson looking like a very possible 2017 QB, WR recruiting should continue to be VERY good.

Agreed. I know everyone keeps mentioning how UGA has 4 WRs committed already but it's a much easier situation for Jefferson to into when it's competing against guys his same age that just arrived on campus with him rather than studs that have been in the program for 2 or 3 years. I do think he's better than all of their current WR commits except for Godwin.

On the flip side, There's only a handful of receivers in this class that could come in next year and get significant PT for the Vols in 2015 and Preston Williams is definitely one of them imo.

I've been saying a while it seems like Van just didn't want to be a Vol and was trying to convince those around him to leave. Looks like FAM is more comfortable with Richt than Urbz.

In terms of takes right now, I'd imagine it's OL/Defensive stud > WR. If Van wanted in, he should have jumped on earlier.
