'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

I believe maybe those trying to accept a possible loss as a pass before I believe we passed. He hasn't picked yet so hopefully he's a Vol tomorrow.

Why do some jump on a kid if he's possibly not coming here.
1) We don't know 100% where he's headed yet.
2) He is very talented. One of the best WR in the country.
3) Maybe he is trying to make the best decision for him, his family, and his career.
4) His personal life and situation could always be effecting his decisions. Something we don't know.
Is this too hard to understand.

I wish a Tennessee kid the best where ever he ends up. Just as long as he loses to Tenn.

No need for bipolar harsh words.

Although he currently lives here, isn't it a bit of a misnomer to describe Jefferson as an instate kid? His father, Shawn Jefferson, was on the Lions' coaching staff from 2005-2012 and didn't become the Titan's wide receivers coach until last year. Therefore, I presume that Van has only lived here for about one year, which isn't exactly a lot of time to develop any real affinity for UT. Please correct me if I am wrong on this point.

For everyone saying we ppassd. There is no way we passed on such a highly rated kid from our own state. I just dont believe that.

It seems like every time we hear about a recruit whom we thought had us as their leader goes somewhere else, people automatically say we passed on them. This isn't Alabama where one can pass on highly talented guys all of the time. We didn't pass on Van. If he doesn't come here it just means he chose another school.

But seriously, good luck to the kid. His decision.

Really great player, but I ain't even worried.

After we show out at WR this season, the 2016 WR guys will be beating down the door... as usual.

We're not passing on committable 4-5 star talent, know that! If we are in on game changing studs CBJ will cull starting with Lovinggood. I like the kid but I have never seen a scholly given to a long snapper especially when Helm can do it blindfolded.

Think of it this way..."No thanks TG. Even though you threw for 6TDs and 2 miles today, we think a 2 star long snapper is more valuable to our success".

Yeah...Hell no!!!

This one is done - and he is headed to Georgia. I wish him well and would advise anyone else planning on making an announcement not to leak it to the press if you want there to be any suspense when you announce.

I think he didn't like
our depth chart.

Why does there always have to be one like you? Talking down to the board like you are some expert on board etiquette. No one on here has put the kid down. There always has to be one, huh?:ermm:

Yesterday, I watched an interview in which his eyes sparkled when he talked about Tennessee and OSU. He did mention UGA, but not with the same sparkle. Since then, everyone has jumped on the UGA wagon, so maybe something happened in the last 24 hours. Could be Tennessee and OSU have other positions of need. Either way, he seems to be a good kid and an excellent WR. Hope he does well unless he plays against my VOLS.
