'15 TX QB Jarrett Stidham (Baylor commit)

Oklahoma also offered yesterday per 247.
Sooners have a logjam at QB, six on scholarship plus Tech QB, Baker Mayfield, walking on this spring (2013 BIG XII FPOY).

Tech is down to one scholarship QB now with a Fr walk on coming in the fall. Lots of playing time to be had there.

Just found this on BaylorFans:

Stidham's gf is going to Tech and pulling him that direction

This explains a lot. It sounded like he was high on Baylor up until a couple weeks ago. Gonna be interesting to see where Baylor/Tech/Tenn stand after this stream of offers stops.

Stephenville and surrounding countries have a big Texas Tech brand loyalty thing going on...predating Briles leaving for Lubbock for the assistant gig...and that area has a large number of TT alumni...Tubby didn't burn it down before Kingsbury made it a cool destination again...keep recruiting him but I think he wants to play there.

Yup. Kiffin did such a good job coaching up Tajh Boyd and Bryce Petty...oh,wait.

Offer pulled in 5...4...3...2...1
It's one thing to tell a 5* QB recruit to hit the road...if you have someone else on hand. He didn't have jack. We went without a QB in that class. What a clown

He also bungled the job on Cam Newton. Newton was ours if we wanted him. Kiffin didn't and took Matt Simms instead. Kiffin is the worst evaluator of QB talent I've ever seen.

Ricky Town is one smart kid, wanted no part of Kiffin at USC or Bama.

Blake Bell of Oklahoma Sooners to move from quarterback to tight end - ESPN
Bell's move to tight end, along with the transfer of junior Kendal Thompson, leaves the Sooners with a couple of freshmen behind Knight.

Redshirt freshman Cody Thomas and true freshman Justice Hansen, who enrolled early and is already on campus, are likely to battle to back up Knight in the fall.

Former Texas Tech quarterback Baker Mayfield, the Big 12's offensive freshman of the year in 2013, has transferred to OU and will walk on to the team, but he is ineligible to play during the upcoming season due to transfer rules.
Hope Jarrett sees the OU pipeline is full of young talent.

Texas Tech gave preferred walk on Patrick Mahomes (Whitehouse, Tx) a full ride and will bring in Payne Sullins (Waco Reicher) as an preferred walk on.

I think we like Zach Gentry and Gibson best...so, I don't expect us to be in the running for Stidham much longer, TBH.

Tech offered the QBs from Midland Christian and Marble Falls preferred walk on status today.

No. No. No. No. No.

It's Republic of Texas of which Judge R.E.B. Baylor served as Supreme Court Justice for.
:hi:
