'15 TX QB Jarrett Stidham (Baylor commit)

I wouldn't bank on Kingsbury being around Lubbuck too long if I were Jarrett. K.K. seems to kinda suck with player relatons. Running off QBs Baker Mayfield and Michael Brewer shuts the Lake Travis pipeline and leaves the Tech cupboard bear. He's one injury at QB from total disaster.

Running off U.S. Army All American DT Michael Starts by switching him to OL against his wishes is never a good thing, a move that hasn't gone over to well with Waco and Central Texas HS coaches. The only reason he went to TT is because Tubbs offered and played him as a DT...K.K. knew this.

Haven't scoured through Texas area forums like you obviously have...fascinating stuff...Texas high school politics is it's own game :pilot:

Most coaches work thier azz' off for "thier" kids and will smite (old school word) those that mistreat them.

Cedar Hill's National Signing Class....proud coach

Wouldn't be shocked at all if Kiffin isn't banned from more than just the HS's Bryce Petty and Ahmad Dixon attended.

If we're not lucky enough to land Gibson, Stidham has to be #2 on the list. Kid looks like a beast on the field.

Just got a CB to Bama from Brian McLaughlin of Saturday Down South.

McLaughlin's just guessing. He wrote an article about it this morning in which he also mentioned Alabama going after Torrance Gibson. I don't think he really knows what he's talking about.

BamaMag lists him as one of Alabama's top three QB targets.

Jarrett Stidham | 6-foot-4, 190 lbs | Stephensville (Tex.) High | Four-star, No. 9 QB

Skinny: Converted from playing wide receiver early in his career, this dual-threat has come into his own as a thrower. Alabama saw him in person at camp last summer, at the same one Ricky Town earned his offer at. Stidham was passed by initially, then Town committed, but the staff has since been back in to see the Texan in person and he picked up the offer.

we're going to convince an elite qb recruit to come in and lead this team. it will take that peyton like attitude: leadership and steel reserve to see that the pieces to the puzzle arw there, buts its missing the captain.

there is no one on this planet, not even phillip fulmer that could sell that vision better than this staff.

I can at least the draw of Oregon (winning program) and the Texas schools (close to home), but he does not fit Bama whatsoever. Every duel-threat QB that has went there has transferred out or never played too much. Add that to the two top-tier QBs that they are getting this year and that should eliminate them if the kid wants to play.

I know I sure as he!! am.[/QUOTE]

Exactly how I feel about Florida, can't wait to return to E. Tn.

Jarrett Stidham @Jarrett_Stidham Feb 10 Good talking to @MBrewer16 tonight!

: Jarrett Stidham @Jarrett_Stidham Feb 11 Talked to my bro @Davis_Webb7. #GunsUp

Hope Michael's talk helps Baylor or y'all.

Ducks would be a fit because they win, but Alabama doesn't?

Michael Brewer's transfer request denied by Texas Tech, QB responds - CBSSports.com

Found this post on baylorfans:

think we are going to see a string of players leaving the TT program over the next few years. I have many connections in Lake Travis and (though Brewer and Mayfield are arguable jaded) the stories about Kingsbury are not good. Basically, if you are playing well he is your best buddy, but if not then you are basically dead to him. While you can respond by saying the player just needs to play well, it is not that simple. Players have good games and bad games. Kingsbury was hot or cold on a player from day to day. This has caused a lot of bad blood.

Hmmm...wonder if they have that internet thing in Stephenville yet?...real surprising Dooleyesque quality showing in hip player coach Kingsbury all of a sudden...

Tech's last three hires seem to have personality issues. Leach, Tubbs and now the hipster.

I wonder how much of a selling point this would be....."you know that Peyton Manning comes in and works with the QBs and WRs at Tennessee every year."

Leach and KK are at least good coaches, though. Given, Kliff got to work with the best QB in CFB at his last stop, but the guy can call an offense. I wonder if he'd be a better NFL guy, where he doesn't have to worry about hurting feelings.

It's a different pitch then the previous "every now and then Peyton Manning applies for a visitor badge to look in on our team....one of these days WE'LL APPROVE IT...want me to wash your back?"
