'15 TX QB Jarrett Stidham (Baylor commit)

I don’t think this has been posted yet. His HS offense looks very Oregon-esque. Kid has wheels. Can’t tell much about his arm because it’s a recruiting tape.

I really like all three of the QB prospects we are after in the 2015 class. I hope we get one of them. All three of them can run and throw. It's exciting to think we could get a QB that could do both.

At quarterback, there seems to be an early pecking order with several guys like Torrance Gibson, Zach Gentry and Jarrett Stidham sticking out.

Stidham released his top 10 on Thursday night and while the Vols are included, some close to the junior quarterback believe Oregon and Baylor are two programs that are standing out.

From Texas Tech Rivals yesterday...

For Stephenville, he's definitely a game changer. For one university, he might also become a program changer.

"I've actually been thinking about that a lot lately," Stidham said. "I think it would be extremely cool to basically go into a place and turn it around. For instance, Johnny Manziel. A&M has always been good, but last year Johnny had his Heisman year and A&M basically flipped and went from being pretty good to being one of the best teams in the country.

"I'm not saying I want to be like Johnny Manziel, I want to be my own player and do my own thing, but I think it would be something extremely special to be able to go in somewhere and kind of flip it. Flip the whole culture of the program. I don't want anything to be handed to me. I want to work my butt off to get to that point and turn it completely around."

Maybe he's talking about UT? Maybe not. Interesting comments nonetheless.

Stidham visited Tennessee in July and landed an offer from the Vols while he was there, and he has been high on their board ever since then. On Thursday night, he announced an early top 10 that included Tennessee, along with in-state schools Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. But he is originally from Corbin, Ky., and also lived in Richmond, Ky., before moving to Texas when he was younger, and some believe he might be open to leaving the state of Texas.

Was Texas Tech ever really good though?

Depends on the definition of good. They had some decent years in the Crabtree days. Knocked off then-#1 or #2 Texas. They haven't been as bad as we have over the past 6 years. They have won at least 8 games 11 of the past 12 seasons and finished in the top-25 5 of those years. With the Univ. Of Texas in flux, they are on the rise. Kingsbury is a really good young coach IMO.

As soon as the glacier thaws....380 to 30 (Greeneville)...is the safest route :mf_surrender:

Im moving to Knoxville, these 100 degree temperature swings in a concrete jungle? Over it.

He could be describing Texas Tech too (more likely IMO). The kid seems eat up with Kliff Kingsbury.
I wouldn't bank on Kingsbury being around Lubbuck too long if I were Jarrett. K.K. seems to kinda suck with player relatons. Running off QBs Baker Mayfield and Michael Brewer shuts the Lake Travis pipeline and leaves the Tech cupboard bear. He's one injury at QB from total disaster.

Running off U.S. Army All American DT Michael Starts by switching him to OL against his wishes is never a good thing, a move that hasn't gone over to well with Waco and Central Texas HS coaches. The only reason he went to TT is because Tubbs offered and played him as a DT...K.K. knew this.

If Wendy Davis wins she'll put an end to this...it's a result of fracking :geek:
