'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

I have a feeling he will be the best QB on the team the moment he steps on campus.
Dobbs will be a baller/shot caller....just wait and see. He's going through some growing pains now, but he's shown enough glimpses of what the future holds. The Spring O/W game was no fluke. He just has to work on being consistent. Worley struggled with that, mightily, when he was a freshman and Sophomore, as well.

The pure athletic teams are mainly concentrated in DFW and Houston areas... He's in an area that has some elite skill players...but the answer to your question is no.

And East Texas. They produce straight athletes. I personally hope we stick our noses in East Texas. Not a lot of kids out their, but East Texas has the highest D1 ratio (ratio of players who sign D1 to ratio of total HS football players).

You want to hear a crazy stat: in 2011 Daingerfield high school out in East Texas graduated about 40-50 boys in their high school class that year. 7 of those boys were signed off to play D1 football. At a public school in a little town out in East Texas

Anyways, good to hear about Dormady. History says Texas is a great state to go out and get your qb.

I can outrun em! :) Heck your Carroll team embodies that concept...you get some good players like Chase Daniel, Greg McElroy and now Ken Hill out of there, and your program's a beast... But Cedar Hill and Desoto have the freaks.

I neglected that area with my opinion...home of the Tyler Rose...my bad. :hi:

"Dormady had a huge night in his return after sitting out his junior year with a shoulder injury. He threw for 404 yards and five touchdowns and just one interception on 27 of 48 passing as Boerne defeated Hondo 38-22."

I think that Dormady could very well end up a better QB than any we currently have on the roster. That being said, I think that Peterman or Dobbs will take over as our QB next year and start their junior and senior seasons. They will both have two years in our system as well as game experience. Both have also been steadily improving since CBJ and his staff arrived. I like Dormady, but as we have seen, starting freshman QB's normally doesn't end well. Give him a year to redshirt and learn our offense. We haven't had that luxury in a while. When his time comes, I think he'll do great.

I think Doemady will likely start by mid season. I am afraid Dobbs will be playing baseball and have a fantastic career in the MLB.

I don't yet KNOW how good Dormady is or will be...it's looking good so far! :good!:... But as far as who starts next season? I'd go with the best player? Whoever it is. Redshirting the better player for luxury's sake?...doesn't fly anymore IMO.

If his father/head coach is installing elements of our offense as rumored and he EE's, not saying he'll start but he should definitely be way ahead of the curve..
