'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

◾Also a First Team All-Region baseball player at Alpharetta with offers to play college baseball

This is cut from his UT sports bio. I guess he was referring to his high school career. Not sure offers to play college baseball equates to automatically having an MLB career tho. :)

I knew he played baseball in high school, but he wasn't drafted in any round nor is on the UT baseball team. His chances of having a "fantastic career in the MLB" are not high. Todd Helton he is not.

I agree.

On a side note, TH hit a bomb off of me in high school that just landed yesterday. lol

Todd's name is still all over the TSSAA record books. Man, he was a STUD. Just an unbelievable talent. Would be great to see him around the program more often since the retirement.

I think that Dormady could very well end up a better QB than any we currently have on the roster. That being said, I think that Peterman or Dobbs will take over as our QB next year and start their junior and senior seasons. They will both have two years in our system as well as game experience. Both have also been steadily improving since CBJ and his staff arrived. I like Dormady, but as we have seen, starting freshman QB's normally doesn't end well. Give him a year to redshirt and learn our offense. We haven't had that luxury in a while. When his time comes, I think he'll do great.

He jolly well better be better than any QB on the current roster. Can't have any regression from what we've got now

Late, but too funny to pass up...

Threw 2 picks in first quarter, but they scored 41 points, so I'm assuming he did well.

They live and die with his big plays...it'd be nice if he could do it without interceptions...but probably not reasonable.

"Not sure of his stats but he had a few hundred yards even though he was pulled to start the 3rd. He threw numerous TD's and you can tell he is in a league of his own. He played very poised and controlled the game very well. He took most play calls from the sideline from an Pro style 3 man assist coaching team. Beorne also runs a Pro-style offense, definitely a pass first team.(which was shocking for me)

He seemed very effortless his backshoulder passes were on point and timing was perfect! His dad seemed a little hard on him after mistakes but he seemed to take his criticism very well. (I know if my dad was my coach I wouldn't listen to a word he said) He was under pressure the ENTIRE game, he escaped a few times but also threw a couple picks under pressure. His O-line was 'Turrible' and no doubt played a big part in his INTs. He took a few sacks but didn't have much of an option. His height also sort of surprised me, he seemed to be one of the tallest player on the field.

He was very into the game even when off the field, not once did he portray to be an Elite recruit amongst the norms. Kudos to Beorne for not blowing his head up as well....I imagined he would be in the flyers stating something about his caliber, but nothing...I was hoping when he took the field they would say, "Quinton Dormady Tennessee commit" but nada..... Great game all in all, his receiver's(all short white kids) ran screens well but he definitely deserves a higher ranking, IMO. Oh Yeah, the boy can punt too!

I have a video of his last redzone TD but have no idea how to get it on here....it was flawless, take my word for it. All of his Tds were pretty impressive for a HS QB"
