He appears to have all of the tools to develop into a good one. For the people using his supporting cast as an excuse...I think it is lost that the teams he has played are less than stellar as well. The guys he's throwing to aren't that good, but the guys he's throwing against are even worse.
However, I will take a look at his measurables and his offers and trust that he has something between his ears. Like I have said, if we have to start one of these Freshmen Qb's (or even play them), we are in for a world of trouble next year regardless of who your "favorite" is.
SIAP, I live just outside of Boerne, was extremely excited when Dormady commited. Have seen him play a couple times as my co-workers son is on the team (Sadly missed the game Coach Jones and Jake were at). Wanted to see if someone with more knowledge than I have was in the know...
Rumor around here is Coach Dormady (Boerne head Coach and Quinten's dad) will be taking a job with the Football program at UT after this season to follow his son. Anyone else hear this? And if so what position would he be filling? I hate to think we are pulling a Malzahan and bringing a coach along because he promised an athlete even if it is that coaches son. Just wanted to get the masses talking... Thanks!

What?! Maybe a grad assistant position?

When has our QB situation ever panned out to be ideal though? :cray:
Seems to me that from the late 80's till maybe Crompton, UT had perhaps the best string of QBs... maybe ever? Debateble I guess, but a minimum of solid QB play from all of them, up to the greatness of Peyton, Tee leading us to the Natty, and the Iceman basically giving the entire SEC East the middle finger for his 3 1/2 years or so as starter. Ainge had a bumpy sophomore year but was otherwise solid and at times well above solid.
(Workin like) Heck you could make an arguement for UT as QBU.
Edit: Oh yeah Dormady... uhhhh... he gud.
I was starting with Francis, but we are in the same ballpark. And even with the names I mentioned it still leaves out older guys like Condredge.
My age limits me.
I was around 7 when Kelly, Cobb, & Webb were doing it. I know some of the names from our rich tradition, but the time frames before then are really vague
Yeah I couldn't have been much older, maybe 12 or 13? Even though Worley is growing on me with the toughness and grit he has displayed as a senior, I long for those days when UT's QB was almost always superior to what our opponent was trotting out.
