'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

I'm not either by any means but just going off reports from guys who evaluate and Coach's like Gruden, Butch, Kiffin and Saban all praising him I think we have a good one. I know a lot of fans like Jones and think he is our future at QB but I'm gonna go with Dormady. People can say what they want about Kiffin and I'm in that same boat, but he knows QB's and offered him after he came to throw for them. But regardless of who ends up starting down the road we have tons of potential at QB..Now the question is can they be developed or did they peak in HS. Really is the hardest position to predict on how a guy will play once he gets into college.

Gruden and Kiffin both loved Jennings too....just saying.

Kendall is the qb of the future.

And that's your right to feel that way. Honestly wish I could look at HS film and determine how a kid will turn out. Way too many highly rated QB's have failed and not lived up to their hype. More worried about even holding onto AK right now.

Quinten Dormady has been better than advertised or expected; he keeps making remarkable throws and showing overall good command of the offense. Dormady has had a lot of impressive throws this week and was really good out of the gates on Tuesday.

O, how quickly things change. We certainly aren't worried about holding onto AK these days.

Not a great fit for our offense though

He would have been. AK can move and not just a sit in pocket nonathletic qb. However JG was the better fit and top target so we dropped AK.

I love what they are saying about Q. I feel a lot better about our QB situation behind Dobbs right now. It sounds like he is beyond where the typical freshman is at this point at QB. His dad being a coach and installing our plays last year has clearly paid off. Looking like that 5 star Sophomore QB before his injury

It also should be noted that both Kirkland and Quinten Dormady were roommates in the spring and had a dry erase board in their dorm that the two players used to diagram and study plays together. VolQuest.com will have much more on that dynamic, because like Kirkland, Dormady is firing at a very high level for Tennessee.

Oh, it isn’t just the strapping young quarterback’s arm-strength, either. In fact, Dormady unfurled a 55-yard run during scrimmage-work in practice within the past few days, noting that even some of his defensive teammates told him they thought they had the angle on Dormady but he outran them to score.

Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Joe Montana hybrid IMHO.

Boom. On a serious note, he might never be their level but one thing that is always stood out to me about QD is he has that "aura" around him that guys like you named have. That look and feel where you understand why they are so good at what they do. He gives off that same feel of confidence and determination. If he isn't successful at football he prob ends up a C level exec somewhere.

Nope. Dormady is just like Serpentor off GI Joe. He is destined to win National Titles, Super Bowl rings or world domination.
