Then why would he state he wants a QB that passes first?
Did you not notice that when Worley was hurt and Dobbs ran the offense there were more zone read runs by the QB. Worley was very reluctant to run the keeper on the zone read - it was open many times. Let's just say was encouraged mightily by the staff to keep it more than he was. And for the zone read - spread option to be effective, the QB must be more of threat to run than Worley will ever be. Very few teams in the SEC will be afraid of Worley beating them with his legs in the zone read.
Statistics do not lie and do not support the position that you are taking. Even though CBJ says he wants a throw first QB - that QB MUST - MUST - MUST be a true threat to run or else the zone read - spread option offense that CBJ runs will be ineffective and inefficient much like it was last year.
