He was a freshman against the toughest defenses in the country. Give him a chance to progress a little

Not sure why people don't understand this. I'm shocked at how many people think players can't get better than their true freshman year. Also the fact that our WR core returns from last year and two signees are starting in front of all of them but North. Pig was our best playmaker and will be 4th string. Downs was our starting TE and will be 3rd string.

Then why would he state he wants a QB that passes first?

Statistics do not lie and do not support the position that you are taking. Even though CBJ says he wants a throw first QB - that QB MUST - MUST - MUST be a true threat to run or else the zone read - spread option offense that CBJ runs will be ineffective and inefficient much like it was last year.

Welcome to Tennessee young Quinten! Now go out there your SR year and light up those TX defenses! :loco:

BOOM! BUTCH!

Booooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........uh o gonna be a melt down cause it wasnt TG....Lol...o well i like this kid better anyways. Congrats to the kid!!

Did you not notice that when Worley was hurt and Dobbs ran the offense there were more zone read runs by the QB. Worley was very reluctant to run the keeper on the zone read - it was open many times. Let's just say was encouraged mightily by the staff to keep it more than he was. And for the zone read - spread option to be effective, the QB must be more of threat to run than Worley will ever be. Very few teams in the SEC will be afraid of Worley beating them with his legs in the zone read.

pretty sure they didnt want Worley running, not because he cant, but because of risk of injury...you saw what happened when Worley got injured, and I think Butch knew that was going to happen starting a true freshman not ready for SEC teams...

Again, LeFevour, Collaros and Pike... mobile, but not blazers... much like Dormady.
