The Vols offered Sunday night when running backs coach Robert Gillespie watched his film and decided to offer. "I really wasn't expecting it," Dauphine said. "I was hoping he would follow back and he watched my highlight film and he was impressed."
"He just said that I was a good running back and that I could help them out," Dauphine said. "He said I reminded him of the running back they just played against, Todd Gurley. He just liked my film." "I don't know much about Tennessee. I know it's a great place to play at," Dauphine said. "He was telling me about their running backs and how they have a freshman playing and he's not worried about playing a freshman. Just things like that. "I'll probably take a visit over there just to check it out."
"Recruiting is going well," Dauphine said. "I still have some more teams after me. Baylor, Florida, Tennessee, they're all coming after me hard."
Even with the added interest from the SEC schools, Dauphine, last years 200 meter champion in Texas with a 20.76 time, says he's still committed to the Red Raiders because of their coaching staff. "The coaching staff is just a good coaching staff. They are cool and down to earth and just a good coaching staff," Dauphine said.
