I just watched his tape for the first time. I also had read that he has only been playing for a couple of years.
Right now this kid is not a great football player. He is a great athlete playing football. He is very similar to Jakob Johnson in that aspect. Another thing I noticed was that it doesn't appear that he has had the luxury of a great strength and conditioning program. None of this is negative. I don't think he will be one that contributes immediately, but he has the natural gifts that can't be taught. This is the type of kid that could be all SEC as RS sophomore. He will just need a couple years to develop into that type of player. This is a great pick up by this staff. GO Vols......BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the camps say he plays with very good power. I do think he'll redshirt or be a coverage unit guy first year but he's the nastiest athlete at DE we've brought in lately. 6'4 moving like that is a problem. And with Barnett, Hendrix, Henderson, Vereen, and Maggitt he won't have to play first year.
Ford is just like him. This is the SPEED upgrade CBJ has been aiming for.All the camps say he plays with very good power. If you watch Andrew Butcher's film you see a high school player with amazing technique. I'm just saying that Taylor isn't anywhere close to being that technically sound right now, but he is definitely a freakish athlete. I just feel he will need time to develop physically from a strength standpoint and develop his technique. But I do agree that me may be to too good to keep off the field on special teams.

Either he'll RS like Henderson is, to bulk up, or they'll play him at OLB. Hope he can EE, to get that head start and be in the S&C program for a full 7-8mos.I don't know that I necassairly agree with you on that. He is a young and raw player that does need to work on his technique but he has very good hand placement and uses them well to shed blockers. The biggest thing he needs to work on IMO is getting bigger and stronger. He hasn't been playing long but he's not much further behind the majority of HS players in terms of his technique and development.
