I think we got like 6 4 star DBs last year. I know they are young and need to prove themselves but the Dbackfield is on the right track I would say.

The U.S. Under-19 National Team will take on Team Canada at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at Maverick Stadium at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Taylor is a 6-4, 227-pound defensive end and outside linebacker who also stars on the basketball court for Hopewell High School. Taylor recorded 48½ tackles, 15½ for loss and nine sacks as a junior then posted 60 tackles, 11 sacks, three forced fumbles and two blocked field goals this past fall. He also led his team in receptions as a senior. He has verbally committed to Tennessee.
Bryce English named to Under-19 National Team

Vol commit Austin Smith was named to the U-19 National Team earlier this month.

Dude is raw but has some great physical abilities. Stripling will help him out tremendously. By 2017 he will be a 8 sacks a year type guy.

Also, while Darrell Taylor did eventually take his official visit to Virginia Tech, everyone we have spoken to about the situation have lead us to believe he is still very firm to the Vols. Miami has also entered the picture now with Taylor, but if he does take that visit we have been told by a few close to that recruitment it would be nothing more than an opportunity to spend the weekend getting warm instead of staying cold in Virginia.

After a little research, Otha transferred to Louisiana Lafayette back in the middle of August. I checked the Ragin Cajun website and he's not listed on their roster. I did find a news article where the LL coach was praising him for his work on the scout team. The article was dated October 15. Not sure why his name wasn't on the roster unless transfers sitting out are not listed on the roster.

Crazy thing is there are quite a few athletic freaks in this defensive class. The two DTs are just special. Smith and Kirkland at LB are both monster talents too. This kid Taylor is nasty. Adding that to what we have here is crazy. Barnett with help is just what the doctor ordered. Time for some payback! :)

I don't think anyone can overstate the athletic upgrades on the defensive side of the ball. The size, speed, and power levels have gone up big time in two years and will go up again next.

I know these guys aren't even on campus yet and I am sure there have been some, but have there been any glaring misses/busts on Defense in these last 2 classes?
