'15 VA DE Darrell Taylor (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Taylor must have some serious VT fans in his family. I think he's "keeping it open" just to appease that faction.

I don't know. I'm getting a bad feeling about this one. Seen one to many signing day switcharoos. Hope he sticks. He's crazy athletic.

Making a final decision after already being committed is typically a sign of two things, hes flipping, or Butch has other plans.

Meh, sometimes. A committed kid makes their "final" decision and sticks with the team they are committed to pretty often. I'm not really worried here.

I think the quote simply means his "final decision" is signing the dotted line. If the VQ guys show no concern whatsoever, we shouldn't either.

Exactly. But the battered Vols will still worry and try to convince us this is a bad thing. If fort and hubbs aren't worried then I'm not worried.

I want this kid in this class. I think he is actually being smart. He probably has someone giving good advice. I think as long as we take him (which we should) he is good to go. But, if we at some point say things have changed then he is not grasping at the last minute. We can all be LebVolly and loyal and it is the way you should be in life. But, this is recruiting and it can be dirty. This kid has a backup plan himself which with recruiting, is a smart way to handle things.

Better not or I'll throw a ***** fit. (contained in this thread)

I hear ya. Those guys are about as conservative as they come with regards to Tennessee recruiting. If they are confident in something that is positive for TN it's pretty much an absolute lock.

:salute: Top five recruit for me no matter who we finish with.

Asterisks killed it lol

Taylor says he wants to make a final decision on NSD. It's just between UT and VT. Says he's 100% committed. Fortenberry said his commitment is strong and it would take a lot for Tech to overcome UT.

That's just bass ackwards. There shouldn't be a final decision if you're already 100% committed.

Kind of has a Cory Thomas feel to it. How he never shut the door on other teams and eventually flipped. I really liked his potential. Hope Taylor doesn't do what Thomas did

I would be like to know just how badly the staff wanted Thomas after they flipped Sawyers and held onto Barnett and Hendrix last year.

Didn't seem like they pushed as hard as they could've. Jmo.

Ehhh disagree. Cory Thomas was a weird guy and I just don't get the same vibes from darrell's recruitment as I did with cory's
