'15 VA DE Darrell Taylor (UT Signee 2/4/15)

"Finally, there may not be a more versatile talent in this group that Darrell Taylor, who the Vols swiped out of Virginia (Hopewell). He's 6-foot-4, 220 pounds and can play a lot of different spots. When you watch his film, he simply makes plays. Taylor is the type of guy that in 1-2 years, you can move around on your defense and he can cause all sorts of havoc as a pass rusher. He may not be the one prospect everyone is talking about (like a Phillips, McKenzie or Tuttle), but he may actually be the prospect that ends up making the most noise from a "big play" standpoint during his time at Tennessee.

Believe me, there were other recruiters that wanted Taylor... badly... for that reason and were not happy when he elected to head to Tennessee."

From JC Shurburtt's article on 247 about Vols 2015 projected D Line haul. Makes me even more excited about this kid's potential.

First time I saw his video I posted he would be a star. What 6'4" 220# kid plays WR and outruns the whole D and then goes and blocks a kick and gets multiple sacks a game? A STUD

How is he not higher rated? Between the film, the offer lists, and the blurbs, he seems like a top 100 player.

Girl on his twitter tried to get him to flip to VaTech. He said " 🙅 nah Tennessee All day." I like that he doesn't mind Competition and wants to be here

"Taylor is a huge kid who will come off the edge strong but also be able to drop into coverage if needed. He also has the length to string things out. He has room to add size and become an every-down lineman and he's very good at chasing the play down. He's just starting to go from athlete to elite football prospect."
