No Kyle Phillips?
Ooohhh.. I forgot him. The fact that he's an instate guy makes him that much more important. However, if we do in fact get Sweat, then I don't know who I'd rather see on the other end between Phillips and Butcher. Plus, I have high hopes for Henderson too. I guess that's a good problem to have though.
Seriously Leb you would grab Phillips over Sweat?
IMO sweat is a take along with Phillips. You can't turn away talent like this. If sweat decides he wants to be a vol I don't think you can so no. I think you have to tell someone else to look else where.Phillips is instate. To me, that adds value. I also think Phillips is a lot more likely than Sweat at least at this point. If I only had room to take 1 more DE, I would NOT tell Phillips No today in hopes of getting Sweat down the road. Yes, I know there is the group who says, "they are all takes", I just don't fall into that group.
No way CBJ turns away Sweat for any reason and that includes Phillips.
I agree. I'll be honest I get tired of the in state kid thing. I want ut to win so if that means telling in state kids no every once in awhile I'm ok with that. Now that being said tenn is getting a lot better talent than we used to have and it's very exciting, but if a
Kid is better and he lives some where else and our staff wants him then I say take him. It's about winning and in the sec you gotta have the best to do that.
