I have a close friend who is a UVA fan (bless his heart).... He said that the "wahoo" came about in the 80's or so because of the excessive partying and it was said that people at UVA could drink as much as wahoo's, which is apparently a fish

Probably good he is going to wait it out a little bit. Let his grades play out before he does anything. Hopefully the kid can get things in order and avoid the Juco scene.
