How much truth is there that the performance of some current personnel in camp are changing the perceived recruiting needs in this class? (for example, the play of Barnett & Hendrix at DE and Robertson on OL)

I think there's a lot of truth to that. They thought after one year they may be moving Barnett and Hendrix both inside, but after seeing them in camp they like for sure Barnett off the edge and while Hendrix may eventually move inside, I think they believe he's going to be good on the edge this year and the next at the least. I think that's why they aren't busting the doors down on more defensive ends and why they are just sitting back and seeing what is coming to them and why Settle is a real option now.

Anybody that doesn't want Settle (to go along with KMac and Tuttle) are nuts. I went back and watched the Opening OLvDL vids again, and watched a couple I hadn't seen before. I must say that Settle looked a lot better in pads. There is a long (about 8min) clip called All Reps: Final Day, in which he looked pretty good as he arguably won 3 out of 4 reps. He also looked good in the run block video. He and Kahlil would be absolute monsters in short yardage situations.

Sidenote: I'm not really implying that anybody doesn't want him, but just that he looked a lot better in those vids than the original ones I saw where many of us concluded that he looked slow and out of shape. Besides all these recruits are probably out of shape compared to what they will be after a college S&C coordinator gets a hold of them.

In other words, I'm salivating over the possibility of a DT haul of McKenzie, Tuttle, Settle and Picou. Son of a Dick! That is championship D-Line material!

Ratings wise I dont think any school has pulled off 3 possible 5 star DTs in one class. Maybe not 5* across the board but all 3 are 5* on at least one site.

By far. It's hard to land just one or two impact DT's in a class. This much talent, alone, would normally take 3 good years of recruiting to accumulate. That's the kind of recruiting that takes teams from the bottom of their division to the top, in a hurry.

Just look what one good class did for USCjr (with their class including Clowney and Quarles).

I'm not dogging Dan or anyone on our defense. Just stating a fact...our rush defense was almost dead last in the SEC last year. I hope Dan kills it at NG for Pittsburgh.

Definitely would love to add Settle to McKenzie and hopefully Tuttle..Wasn't there talk not long ago about Settle and his grades? I'm too lazy to go look but didn't know if those were still concerns or if it worked itself out?
