'15 VA DT Tim Settle

Chuma Edoga probably hasn't talked to Settle in months. I'm sure he told him that at some point, but Settle won't make it onto an SEC roster with his grades right now. Maybe after a year or two in JUCO.

I also don't think Burrell is a full lock to OSU.

man i hate to single you out but have you seen his test scores or transcript? i mean just because 30 other guys said the exact same thing doesnt mean you need to be the #31 or that its even true.

im not saying it isnt but i gets old people repeating stuff as fact (Dobbs has accuracy issues for example) over and over without a clue really grinds my gears

I figured his head coach was a pretty good source. Do your own research. You're doing the very thing you say "grinds your gears." You have no clue, but you're presuming everyone else has no clue.

That article is 3 months old. The last paragraph is the focal point. Tim is all caught up in recruiting but unless he fixes his grades he will be going JUCO. Maybe ochocinco will recognize the head coach as an acceptable point of reference. But I'm sure Settle will have to enroll in JUCO before he believes everyone who keeps talking about it.

2015 DT Tim Settle Looking for More From the Hokies | The Key Play

There ya go ochocinco. FYI, Grades and test scores are not the same thing, but both matter. Maybe you can ask his coach for a copy of his transcript. Don't be so lazy next time if you're going to try to call me out.

so your are referencing the last line in the article only ?
""He enjoys the notoriety, the opportunity to take these visits," he said. "But I'm more concerned about making sure he's getting his grades in line and leading the team.""

every coach says that about every player.is that really all there is to the "hes goin juco, grade problems" mantra thats been repeated for weeks now ? lol.

again im sorry i picked your post to comment on, nothing personal, dozens of people do it as if it makes them feel 'in the know' to repeat it. remember the Berry twins love Trooper? 1 line in one article and people said Auburn was leading over and over for months when it was never true, not even close.

Yep. Same hear. That's exactly how most of VN kept saying all year that Dobbs sucks because he had "a few bad practices in fall camp and is stuck behind Peterman of all people."

They don't have a clue and just repeat, like a parrot what scant bit of info/rumor mill gibberish they read/hear. It doesn't bother me if they say "I read it somewhere....." But they don't. They treat the hearsay or their opinion like it's established fact.

Few bad practices doesn't get you buried behind Nathan Peterman on the depth chart.. CMON bro. Dude didn't camp well during summer or spring practices.

That's purely your speculation....and yet you still keep talking like it's fact.

It's folks like you trying to make deductions based on whether the player is starting and scant info from the beat writers. What part of RED-SHIRTING don't you get? CBJ has said repeated that they would like to have redshirted him so they'd have 3 full years to work with.

Then you have their tendency to favor SENIORITY. Peterman had one full year. Not in CBJ's system, but on the team, nonetheless. CBJ also recruited Peterman, so he may still believe Peterman has potential.

C'mon Bro...when you speculate, say so. Quit trying to pass your opinions/deductions off as FACT. Cause, Dobbs is showing conclusively that your opinion was utter BS. Even Butch and Bajakian are looking bad because they didn't start him earlier.

Peterman has one of the slowest releases and non awareness that I've ever seen.
I also think Peterman may be just the reverse of Dobbs. He does well in PRACTICE, but when the lights come on and the proverbial bullets start flying, he caves in somewhat, mentally.

He may snap out of it, eventually. But he should have gotten more reps last year and this year, in our non-conference games. I would have played him the whole 2nd half of the UTC game, so you could see whether or not he had the mental acumen to play at this level

Yep, sounds right to me.

Didn't want him anyways.

No, best of luck to him. Obviously, something happened in his recruitment. He is no longer the hot commodity that we thought he was.
