He doesn't really have the length you look for in an OT and most services have evaluated him as a guard.

And since we are talking about it anyways, in my post I did say that Jones could be a swing man, like Dallas Thomas. From all I've seen though he will most likely get his first shot at RT. He will go where the need is.

If he doesn't visit Tennessee before his announcement I believe he ends up a Gamecock.

I don't think they would turn away his commitment, but I don't know that they are pursuing him as hard as South Carolina, either.

Most years I believe he would be a take. Having the 3 TN kids(Stewart, Jones, Richmond) all highly regarded maybe the staff just felt they could build up the OL instate this year. It's going to be a smaller class it appears so when your taking say 20 instead of 25 it just stands to reason that OL is one of those spots you take 1-2 less than you might in a full year. OL is usually going to be a class of 3-4 signees in an ideal year with a full class IMO. Also if they want to take a 2nd QB or 2nd RB with a small class, that spot has to come from somewhere.

The number today I believe is 16. To take 25, at least 9 more kids have to decide to leave Tennessee. Sounds like a bit much to me.

4 more leave and your taking a class of 20 unless there are GS/BS talk again. There was a lot of talk of that last year and not a one. We'll see.

I really don't see it as being ridiculous to expect at least 9 kids to leave before Aug 2015. When you consider the class we just brought in there will be a lot of upperclassman that start to get passed on the 2 deep by freshman.

I don't think he was a GS. If he were, he would be showing by now as a commitment for the 2015 class.

As noted with the last class of 32, the coaches did not take more than they had room for. They did not look at it anticipating that a few spots would open up between NSD and Aug 2014 so they could take a few more. I doubt we see them do that this year either.
