Can't find it on VQ. Can you link?
Top247 rising senior offensive lineman*Austin Clark*of Rockbridge County High School in Lexington, Va., returned to Tennessee on Wednesday for his first visit with the Vols in almost four months, a source close to his recruitment told 247Sports.
The 6-foot-6, 296-pound Clark visited South Carolina on Saturday, and 247Sports' Evan Watkins reported earlier this week that Clark was scheduled to travel to Virginia Tech on Tuesday. He recently named a top seven of Clemson, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech, and he's scheduled to announce his decision June 12.
Clark, who has visited Tennessee five times since last summer, is ranked the nation's No. 240 overall prospect and No. 25 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class. Eleven of the 12 predictions on 247Sports' Crystal Ball currently point to the Vols as the favorites to land him.
I think it's ok to have a versatile lineman to mold. Remember we all thought C. Thomas was a lock for C until spring started.
I agree. I just think Clark is infinitely more valuable to this class if he can play OT. There has been lots of questioning by Hubbs, PFort, and the 247 guys about him being a tweener, and all seemed to think at one time that his positional question may lead to Tennessee not taking him.
I didn't see this visit coming because he told several people, including the guys at our South Carolina site on Saturday once he left there he wasn't taking anymore visits.
There have been mixed signals leading up to his visit today, but I think that's a good thing for Tennessee and Clark. I have always said this is very much between Tennessee and South Carolina, and I had another source this weekend continue to confirm that with me
So either he was a take all along and made the surprise visit to commit in person(will announce on the 12th). OR UT has been slow playing him and he stopped in to give them 1 last chance to accept his commitment before he announces elsewhere.
Curious to see what happens here.opcorn:
