'15 VA OT Austin Clark

If they pass on Clark as some think they will, IMO it's Richmond and done. Possibly another very close to NSD if there is room, but I doubt it.

Maybe we pass on Clark, because we have enough guard prospects. I think we would like to have another tackle prospect to go with Richmond and possibly Jones (if he is considered a RT). Maybe the coaches already have their 4th OL quietly locked up.

2-3 years from now he'll be a RS Sophomore regardless where he plays. I don't see him beating out any of the DL we've brought in recently.

He may not, but he'd still be seeing practice reps at DE early on even if he isn't a starter. I've long felt he won't end up at OT ever. A lot of other people think he will. Just have to see how he develops.

Absolutely no way Butch is even considering not taking Clark.

Will be an interesting announcement. Seems to be a lot of folks on either side of the fence with this kid. When GFW posted what he did it sounded like a done deal to me. Read what's coming out of the services and they seem unsure.

Pass on this this guy? No, tell me it ain't so. Isn't it obvious that the OL must be our top priority now that QB has been addressed? We have so little depth and that suggests we need to sign at least four this year.

They may have their 4 already about locked up IF the UT staff indeed thinks Jackson is an OT.

Stewart, Jones, Jackson, Richmond.

The feeling right now is either South Carolina or Virginia Tech. Those are the two schools I've heard the most over the last 72 hours.

Tennessee didn't recruit him very hard this spring but decided to make a push at the end. Doesn't seem like it will be enough. But, I should know more by later tonight.

For those insisting that we're still in pursuit of Torrance Gibson, this is a casualty of that line of thinking...taking 3 QBs because the last to commit is a star darling?...gotta get numbers from another position.

Richmond is far from being a lock right now and Jackson is nevertheless still listed as a DE, and besides he would be more of a project OL before he is up to the size and technique required to play in the SEC.

And we can't afford to wait on Richmond any more than we could Torrance Gibson at QB. That said, I'm not questioning CBJ and the coaching staff, I'm certain they have contingencies. It's just that the OL situation currently looks pretty desperate to someone like me who's not in the know, and I've been saying so since last year when I didn't think we took enough O-Linemen either.
