'15 VA WDE Josh Sweat

It's the same talking points around here, UT should have won that game. Our team was a mess that game that was killed by injuries.

And we had guys missing in that game as well. But those don't count right? And correction....You had guys put out in that game. Pretty common occurrence with soft teams.

Actually, we won the very first BCS title against FSU in 1998... so try again. Lotsa teams won BCS titles afterward but we had the good fortune of being the winners of the very first one.

He was bashing uga.
Tennessee is not big 7 football state for recruits :hi:

You know this? How?

He is looking for a family atmosphere, coaching staff, and early playing time. He has never played on an team with Tuttle, and has no connection to him whatsoever other than both are being recruited at UT. Sweat has never once mentioned other linemen being a factor. It's funny how you say Sweat jumps on board when Tuttle jumps on. "You know this? How?"

I think SweAt would be smart to play along side two dominate, 5* DTs. It would make sense on many levels. UT has all I what you mentioned Sweat is looking for. Kinda just made my point for me.

And you know that he does how? Inside information? It's far, far, far more likely that Tuttle has absolutely no bearing on Sweat's recruitment than it's likely he does. Most of the time, even highly rated teammates coming out of highschool, who have sworn they're a "package deal" and definitely want to go to the same university wind up going their separate ways. First recent example that immediately comes to mind is Taj Griffin and Chuma Edoga. They both swore for a long time that they were gonna play college ball together.... Griffin has committed to Oregon and Edoga USC.

So unless you have inside or definitive information that Tuttle really does have a strong influence on where Sweat is gonna go to college, beyond "great players wanna play beside great players", his assertion is far more likely than yours IMO.

These threads always go off on a tangent. Not sure about Sweat but will say if we land him our D-line is looking SEC title game worthy for several years. Would be the best we have had since Haynesworth, Henderson days.

We land Sweat and Tuttle, to go with Kahlil and we may be looking at the best we have had in my lifetime. Because I truly think we going to have afew studs show up on it this year. Don't think, as a group, that they will be a force this year, but we will some signs of what the future holds for us. If we hadn't lost Big Charles for the year, we'd probaly be able to hold our own this year. Just not enough big bodies left IMO.

YOU think it's smart. Sweat likely (re: most definitely) doesn't give a crap what you or anyone else thinks. He's going to go where he wants to go regardless of what anyone's fans think he should do.

He didn't grow up as a UT fan like you. He doesn't live in Tennessee. He probably has never even been to a UT game. So it's not outside the realm of possibility to say that Tennessee is just another school on his list of options available to him. You can't fault him for being a 17 year old kid who is making a crucial life decision that can and certainly will impact the rest of his life. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that since he keeps things very close to the vest AND at the Opening he didn't get all rowdy and socialize with everyone, no other recruit plays a role on getting him where he wants to go. If Virginia Tech leads, that's his decision. They are ranked 51st in recruiting for 2015. But that doesn't seem to bother him.

Why would Tuttle, a DT, care about what Sweat does?

Most likely he doesn't but at DL and OL more so than other positions it would at least be intriguing to know you had a few beasts along side of you.. JMHO..

Good players want to play good players. It is nice to know that you have a proven commodity playing alongside you.

Now, does that really carry a lot of weight when it comes to a recruit making a decision? Probably depends on the recruit.

This is like the third time you've done this. DOMINATE is a verb. DOMINANT is the adjective you're looking for here.
