I remember the 38 to 35 smashing that you are talking about. I think that was the final score, can't really remember that far back.

Sorry, but the Sugar Bowl has never been played in Atlanta.
Edit: Correction, it was in 2006 - forgot about the bad weather.

I don't follow many non-UT bowl games, but I don't remember the game being that close. I remember WV got a huge lead. Maybe my memory is bad.

Well, I didn't state that correctly. I meant I didn't remember it being as close as the score indicated. I didn't mean that I was disputing the score. WV got a big lead and kind of hung on in the 2nd half. That's what I was trying to say.

Oh ok...my bad. Yeah WV jumped out like 21-0 or maybe even 28-0...can't remember. I do remember them being double-digit dogs though and GA giving a typical letdown performance. I personally enjoyed it lol.

It was 28-0 at one point in a glorified home game at the Georgia Dome. West Virginia ran for a gazillion yards on UGA's soft defense. And while UGA made a comeback, it was another example of a heavy favorite going into a contest that had a lot more bark than bite, like a lot of Georgia teams.

What's the latest on Sweat? I would love to land him, Settle or Tuttle, and Jefferson. That's my top 3 or 4, but I feel like Sweat isn't as possible as the others I mentioned

He's really quiet and vague regarding his recruitment. I don't think he's given much of a timetable, either. If there is big news, it'll be in this thread quickly, I think.

Here's to hoping we're in it til the end with a shot at landing Sweat.

He will probably wait until after the season, I think he pulls the trigger before NSD so they talk about his school at the all American games. Hopefully this is a good thing for us, and he sees some improvement on the field by our Vols!

It really doesn't matter what happens because apparently we will not have room for him and CBJ will not accept his commitment if he doesn't commit before October.

Nope. LV has said that Sweat would not be a take if he waits. He also said that there will not be room for Sweat. Now it seems he is doing his usual back peddling. And I agree with you 100% on Gibson vs Sweat. I would take Sweat over Gibson all day everyday.
