'15 VA WDE Josh Sweat

I thought Atkinson was a LB? I guess he could be considered elsewhere, but I thought he was a for sure LB prospect.

Isn't Walker the one who is a heavy lean to SC, and from the 14 class, or am I mixing him up with someone else.

He is. My post was confusing. Just meant that it might make sense to take those two to fill out our rush DE and LB spots remaining.

Think that's Dante Sawyer

Don't know nearly enough.

Think you'll hear grayshirt and olenga mentioned at some point. JMO, as I know absolutely nothing except that olenga wants to be a vol at this point.

The Nation's top prospect, Chesapeake (VA) Oscar Smith five star defensive end*Josh Sweathas informed 247Sports that he is planning to take his five official visits to: Virginia Tech, Florida State, Ohio State, Oregon and Georgia. While he has set his five official visits, he has not narrowed his list down to a top five. There are two other programs that are showing a lot of interest that could come into the picture late: Auburn and Texas A&M.

Was a nice thought for a while. Here's hoping FSU or VT

I would rather JS go to Oregon but it won't happen. We play VT in 2016 and we're going to be playing FSU in the NC game in 2018

Dude is a freak athlete that's for sure.

But wait, but wait, this can't possibly be true. Nationdom said he was a Vol lock cause he definitely, absolutely wanted to play with Shy Tuttle, a 5 star that hasn't yet committed to us. List has gotta be a smokescreen..... there has to be a 2016 player or 2 that lists UT as his leader that Sweat just has to play next to.....

I think the staff got the message loud and clear when he visited. This kid has next to zero interest in coming to UT for whatever reason. I believe we aren't getting one of his courtesy officials because the staff has shifted their focus to more realistic options.

I'm not overinflating our staff but I honestly do feel this is probably at play here.

Sweat would have been a knockdown/drag-out fight for us. We don't have the time and effort to spare. We get Phillips who is still a concensus 4* player and has great size/speed and perhaps another player for the same amount of time and effort securing and still probably losing Sweat would have taken.

UGAi sider are you guys after mcguirt here in nc hard? heard you guys were.

yes he came out for dawg night and performed well. he tells unc guys he is solid and he tells other guys who are national or handle regional coverage that UGA is giving him something to think about. his family connection to UNC will probably be too hard to overcome.

:salute: here is a video of guys at the opening being asked about josh sweat and his possible potential.

I think that is why we went after Marques Ford. He has reportedly ran as low as 4.6 40 time and hang cleans 300lbs. He will only get faster and stronger. I think the staff are happy with Ford he is an elite athlete as well.

I agree. I think Ford fits the same mold as Sweat. He was probably #2 on the board after sweat.

He asked for a UGA insider. Not a tool with make believe information.
