I hate that word. So no.

It's no different than the N-word imo.

Personally neither word bothers me a great deal. IMO, they are simply slang terms to describe a$$holes of different races.. Wear them proudly or be offended, makes no difference to me..

Actually, there is a big difference in the words. The term redneck was coined in reference to the miners in the early 20th century that took up arms in opposition to the way they were being treated by coal companies. Redneck comes from the red neckerchiefs they wore. It was a really bad time in American History and the use of the term redneck now by someone is done in ignorance to the origin of the term.

Oh lord help me. Rednecks? Seriously? I think you need to seriously put some more thought into your positions, and reflect on what makes a word bad.





I worked with a guy about 20 years ago that had some mental instability that hated the word "wacko". Never understood what his problem was.
