'16 D.C. DE/TE Devante Brooks (UT commit 1/15/15)

We hear very little about Creamer, especially with him being a legacy. Is there a realistic chance he develops into a starter one day?

I doubt anyone can answer that question but I wouldn't write off an athlete at his size especially since he went through 2 other positions last year before settling in at TE. it will be tough though because this staff recruits that position pretty well so no telling who is on roster by the time Wolf graduates. Brooks sounds like a stud in this current signing class

yes. hes gonna be a good player. Hes really athletic. Not everyone develops at the same rate. VN doesnt understand that alot of the time.

Yeah its usually a mindset similar to "we have 25 freshmen in this class, that means we will see 25 guys beating out the incumbent players"

Need him on campus to get the best rehab. Hate it for the kid.

My brother tore his acl, but the doctor told him they usually don't do surgery unless you're a career athlete. I always thought that torn acl always meant surgery, so I learned something new.

Hoping for a speedy recovery. This is a good kid, and a talented one at that. Our staff will stay behind him, and he will do great things here.

Two tears on the same ACL is tough. The positive is that he has 15 months before his freshman season starts at UT. He could probably even redshirt if necessary. He will be a good one if he can stay injury free after this.

do we really want him now? perhaps the coaches have a health stipulation on his commitment.

Thoughts?

I would like to see him be receptive to greyshirting. It is a win-win… He still gets to be a part of the Tennessee football program, but we don't have to use a number in this small class on him. He gets 2 full years to rehab and get his knee as strong as possible without losing any eligibility.

My wife is no career athlete but surgery was essential. Don't know who you've been talking too. Everyone i know whose gone through it had surgery.
