He was afraid they would blackmail him by going to the Purple Porpoise.

Isn't that chain shut down? We used to go to that bar in Melbourne to watch the Tennessee vs Florida game. I remember the Wilhoit game winner. It was glorious

Don't know, all I know that is where UF players would take recruits and get them drunk, laid, or both. That's where Alex what's-his-face (star DE) took Jason Respert.

Thought it was very odd that Tatum never OV UF after them very close for months.

First, he's all Vol and great pick up, we needed him.

Passing along:
"Tatum was set to let UF coaches he wanted to commit during Bowl week practices but UF wanted to hold off until after his Jan official (to see where they stood with more year one ready tackles). Tatum then visited UT's bowl practice in Dec and coaches were excited to take his commitment. After time to process and sticking it a little to UF he pulled trigger to UT before UF official"

Explains why 4 coaches couldn't even sway a long time UF lean to OV for the "free trip".

Mac has some strong points, CEO, coaching, talent evaluation but he is being exposed this last push of the cycle by staff recruiting strengths, and being able to play with the big boys for top rated guys UF wasn't on early.

One area where Butch is strong and Mac has some things to learn. The rest of the SEC will exploit this until he gets it fixed.

Can't really blame them. Fla needs someone that can step in right away and we can afford to give him time to develop

Butch should have your mind set for 16' as playoff and UF win should merely be a by product of that. UF needs to iron out some recruiting prowls that Tenn currently has(though Tenn needs to smooth out in game things) but at the end of the day talent wins.

Just hope UF is on the right track by 17' when UT comes to Gainesville or we'll have the beginnings of a streak of our own.

Tomorrow, Butch isn't expected to be on the road. He heads down to Florida on Friday to see Marcus Tatum. Tatum confirmed to us pretty strongly earlier today that he's not considering Florida any more and he won't take a visit and that he is all Vol.
