'16 FL RB Carlin Fils-Aime (Vol commit 7/30/15)

That is the reason I think Hurd picked the wrong school. He is already a monster but in an "I" formation with a blocking back he would even be more scarier.

I agree if we had a real offense he and our receivers would be unreal!! We got skill players all over but our scheme is crap!!

We're gonna see what having Kamara for four years would be like with this kid

Well, you're wrong. The only thing greater than Hurd's value as a power runner is his versatility. No reason for the kid to bash his brains in running out the I formation 30 times a game. He's going to go to a team who knows how to utilize RB talent, like the Patriots, and be a guy who can come out of the formation and play any position.

Butch, for the most part, allows Hurd to showcase his power and his ability to get to the edge. He also gets to show his ability to block and pass protect. There is no more versatile back in college football.

UT is the perfect system for him.

Fulmer was chased off because many fans wanted to run the spread option and he leaned more on the I and pro sets. Now more and more fans are saying that those formations are superior. It's just funny. I don't think there is an offensive style played in the NCAA that Hurd wouldn't be a big contributor. Big strong fast and quick accomplishes a lot in college football. It's silly to presume otherwise.

Fulmer was "chased off" when he attempted to switch to the spread...then panicked before mid season, took over playcalling and ran some hybrid mess that led to his second losing season in four years. He had a highly ranked class in the works chock full of players fit for the spread. If he had returned it would have been interesting to see what he did with them.

My comment was more about how fickle fans are than CPFs last coaching decisions. Fans wanted the spread when we ran power. Now fans arr starting to lust for the power game. It just proves that every coaching move is second guessed and fans are always smarter than coaches.

I heard Troy Fleming said the same thing I did. He is in the wrong formation.

I mean, that's kind of what happens when you have a big fan base. That has nothing to do with being fickle IMO, and is more about just different people having different opinions.

I don't mind the spread or anything, but there's just something about watching an offense with a 270lb fullback blowing people up. Love it

I'd like to see us line up in the I around the goal line with McKenzie at FB and Hurd running behind him. Specifically on 4th and goal from inside Oklahoma's one yard line.

Yeah, really. We are only averaging 37.5 pts. per game and only 435 yds. per game with 23 1st downs per game. Against some pretty solid defenses overall. Very shabby.

You are right. Fans aren't fickle. What was I thinking?

He can ask to wear the #2 Jersey in honor of Tuttle. He gets props for doing it and we have our fullback.

I is smart.

no won't work, that is pig's number. oh wait. you might be on to something. its been in the works this whole time and we never knew it.

Who has a 270 lb fullback? We never did.

Corey Anderson played fullback at 275 I think was his listed weight. Blocked for Foster if memory serves me right.
